What to expect from a grounding kit?

As I check out the resent posts I see that a lot of you have installed a grounding kit. I saw the webs sites and the claims that the companies make. Worth the 50 bucks?

On a very new car, maybe not so much. As the car gets older, factory grounding may not be what it once was, so on an older car you'll sometimes see a night and day difference. I put one on my 07 in 2010, and I could see obvious differences with starting, windows rolling up faster, a few other things, plus It would have helped with ground for the subwoofer amp I had installed, so for me it was a win.

Also, I made the kit myself with some quality wiring and end loops...with a $15 crimper it cost me around $40 to make, and I could make the wires any length I wanted instead of getting stuck with what they sell you in those kits.
