Anyone else have this intake problem

Ok so I bought a Stillen shirt ram intake for my 2011 max. I installed it perfectly and was extra careful when it came to switching my maf sensor cuz I no how sensitive they are and expensive. It was working great the whol first day then the next day coming home from work the check engine light had came on and rpm where acting crazy. So I got the code read and it was a p0101 which is a maf problem. I made sure it was all hooked up right then k bought the cleaner and cleaned it and it would work for one day then back on the next. So now I put my stock intake back in to see if it still happens and it doesn't it's totally fine now for 3 days already. Any ideas what the problem can be?

the simplest fix is to buy a new car ... but on a serious note I have never heard of this, make sure to disect every inch of the intake for any oddities

Try some MAF cleaner spray. Numerous people here got Stillen intakes where the K&N filters are over-oiled from the factory. Nailing the gas is pulling some of the oil off the filter right onto your MAF. Also, after cleaning the MAF off, try soaking up some of the filter oil with a paper towel, inside and out and re-install.

I tried that. I cleaned it and put it back and still came on so what I did was out my stock intake back now it's fine. I'm thinking it has to be with something from the intake itself

You disconnected the battery before installing the Stillen intake? I've had mine on since February and haven't had one CEL since installing it.

I'd give Josh@Stillen a holler and see if he can help you find the issue. I installed mine as per their instructions and haven't had a problem.
