Has anyone replaced the LED's in their side mirrors? What kind of LEDs?

Has anyone replaced the LED's in their side mirrors? What kind of LEDs?
I think I've read on here a few people changing out the LEDs in their side mirrors for white or whatever, just curious how you guys found out what type of LED to use and how you got the side mirror off.
