Connecting andriod bluetooth to stream music
I just got my new 2011 maxima sv today, car is super hot compared to my 2000 max...
Anyway I was able to connect my phone to the car to make calls and that works perfectly fine, but I cant seem to connect the phone to stream music from my media player. I read the manual and it says that I have to go into the settings and go to bluetooth settings but i dont see bluetooth in my settings.
Can my car not do it?

You need Tech Package to stream music.
If you have any way to connect RCA (red/white cable) or 1/8" (headphone jack) you can look at something called a Blackberry Stereo Gateway - I have it in my 09 and it gives me perfect Bluetooth Audio streaming.
Pretty certain I saw Ghozt post this in a previous thread as the item he bought:

I have the same problem w/trying to get my LG G-Slate to connect my Pandora to the car via Bluetooth. My car doesn't find the tablet, my tablet doesn't find the car. So I purchased a JL Audio RCA cable that connects to the tablet in the headphone jack & into the RCA's in the center console. Sound quality is A-1, just like radio; ease of use is bottom of the barrel! Only steering wheel function you keep is volume up/down. Have to hit the tablet to change songs - if you've been on a streak of good songs & hit a beat one and wanna change it, oops, tablet locked, gotta unlock it, then skip tracks, all while driving....
Going to my stereo guy in the next month or so and he told me he can fully integrate my tablet into the car wirelessly and make my nav unit fully touch screen/etc. w/wireless web 4G from my tablet. Not sure the $$$ involved though, sounded expensive! LOL

I do wish you could use steering wheel controls, but raising my hand up to the tablet isn't too bad. Btw check out an app called Screebl, it's free and will keep your screen on while the tablets held at any angle besides flat on a table - you'll love it.
Let me know if you figure out how to integrate the tablet more into the Max, I'm dying to know of the possibilities. Good luck to you bro! Here's my setup with my Xoom (since sold and got the new Samsung Galaxy Tab)
Should work on anything that supports Bluetooth. Something I noticed about Android phones (not sure about other types) is that it will pair with the Blackberry Stereo Gateway for Media and pair with your car at the same time for Phone - I never was expecting that but I was impressed
For the blackberry stereo gateway what are you using to power that device ? I plan on getting the galaxy s2 android phone in the 09 maxima but can't obviously use the old iPod connection since I'm switching from the iPhone ?
I have Droid X. Are there any apps that can play music to car stereo via USB in Aux? I was hoping that something similar to Pandora could be played via USB imput in the Aux mode without having tech package. maybe I am dreaming.
I think your Max will stream your music. Whenever I add or change phones, you have to pair it with your Max, that takes care of calls. Then you need to go into your settings/bluetooth or /audio (cant remember which one) and select your phone for audio.
Hope that helps.

Attach this to your 3.5mm input, and voila, bluetooth audio: http://www.amazon.com/Miccus-BluBrid...=vglnk-c471-20
I just paired my phone HTC Evo to my new car 2012 Max SV with prem/tech packages. Pretty sweet! If you go to bluetooth settings after it's paired, you can assign it as an audio device. Then, the steering wheel controls can be used to skip tracks.
The Blackberry Music Gateway is the way to go for those that don't have bluetooth streaming in your max. I put one in my girls lexus IS250 for her ipod tough and I use one in my bedroom. I got a smokin deal on them through newegg.com early last year and bought 5 of them. Now they go for about $75 bucks online. But they are discontinued now. Great piece though!
