Folks,
Went through the posts last night and found that a filter was referenced, but no information on the filter that is under the drivers seat. Apparently there is a filter on the blower motor - not sure what the recommendation is for replacement, but I can imagine if user replaceable (appears to be at the link and page referenced below), it's probably expensive at the dealership.
In the sticky's "How To" found the manuals referencing the details on the Maxima. If you go to: http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/maxima/2009/SE.pdf, then to page "SE 69, 70, and 71" you'll see it reference the filter on the blower. SE 69 breaks down the parts for the seat, SE 70 lists it, and SE 71 show where the blower is below the seat. I'll have to look sometime, although not a lot of room under the seat - probably use a mirror/flashlight to assist, and figure out if this is a replaceable filter. I'm sure it is, as it clogs up the blower motor works harder. Just FYI.

Ouch somehow I don't see this being replaced anytime soon if ever needed....
You actually have to remove the seat first and then to get to the blower motor which I suspect is where the filter is according to the FSM do the following:
Disassembly
1. Remove the seat from the vehicle. Refer to SE-64, "Removal and Installation"
2. Remove seatback board.
3. Remove seat cushion finisher.
4. Disconnect wire harness connectors from driver seat control unit.
5. Remove driver seat control unit from seat.
6. Remove seat cushion thermal electric device bolts.
7. Remove climate controlled seat blower motor bolts.
8. Disconnect climate controlled seat blower motor from upper seat duct.
9. Remove climate controlled seat blower motor, lower seat duct and seat cushion thermal electric device from seat.

I asked the dealer about a month ago out of curiosity, they estimated about 2 hours in a labor. The part from them is $92, on courtesy nissan parts I think it was around $85 or so plus shipping. Not exactly cheap.
