Agreed. Not one aftermarket company makes a larger diameter FSB yet for the 7th gen. Even going up 2-3mm from stock would make a difference for these front heavy cars!

I have been trying to find out the dimensions on the front sway bar off a Sport Altima, can't find any specs.

Hmm, much to learn, you still have...

Checked out the Nissan USA website and found the specs for the Altima SR:
Front (24.2 mm) and rear (18.3 mm) stabilizer bars

In perspective, the Maxima SV Sport's are:
Front (26.5 mm) and rear (21.0 mm) stabilizer bars

Nissan needs bigger than a 21MM to control that big ol booty in the back. It seems like the rear is always playing catch up with the front. I will get the the rear sway later this month but doubt that will COMPLETELY solve the problem.
What do you guys think?

Agreed. Personally for a car this size, I'd want 30mm up front and 26mm out back. With a 60/40 weight distro, need bigger bars at both ends fursure.

I guess I missed that my 06 Maxima had the Nismo sways from the 3rd Gen Altima, night and day difference in handling, my friends with their German cars accepted the fact that they could never lose me in the twisties

I have been waiting patiently for Nismo sways for the 4th Gen Altima and nothing so far

The thing that bothers me about this car is I hate the understeer on highway on/off ramps with this car.

Get some better rubber man... will make a HUGE difference over sway bars, etc. Check out the Hankook Ventus V12 Evo summer tires... best bang for the buck you're ever going to find.

We'll always be plagued with understeer... 60/40 weight distribution certainly doesn't help the enthusiast driver in these cars

My next upgrade will be tires, but a front and rear sway bar upgrade would be much appreciated, my last car also 60/40 drove so well with them

Hmmm... I wonder if I can PM Josh at Stillen and see if they could make a solid FSB around 28-30mm thick. I'm sure they'd need a massive amount of interest though to make it cost worthy

Would be interesting to hear what he says, Stillen never made a set for the previous 6th Gen Maxima, so I doubt they would make a set for the 7th Gen, I was kinda hoping that Nismo would make a set for the 4th Gen Altima but nothing yet.

They don't have to be that thick, my Nismo sways before installed on my previous Max weighed a ton, the OEM bars felt like tin straws in comparison.

These are the specs on the 3rd Gen Altima/ 6th Gen Maxima Nismo sways
Rear Diameter 27mm, Rear Thickness 3.5mm
Front Diameter 24mm, Front Thickness 4.5mm

I can't find OEM specs on factory sway bars for the 6th Gen Maxima, but I think the Nismo bars are about 2mm thicker and solid, and the 6th Gen weighs about the same as a 7th Gen.

Not just the 7th Gen could benefit, the Altima and Altima coupe could also use it

It's not an easy install, the rear simply bolts on, the front needs to be snaked through the front sub frame and to do that you need to drop/lower it, most are not looking to spend an extra 300-400 to pay a shop/Nissan to install

I just don't know why only the rear bars are available. Sure, the fronts require quite a bit more bends for their design... maybe there's something I'm just not thinking of?
