Basic front bumper removal.

4 plastic push pins under the hood.
6? push pins underneath the front bumper.
If memory serves 4? screws bottom side front bumper.
2 bolts in the fender well, one on each side of the car.
Then rip front bumper off.

I dont think you need all that...this removes the whole bumper...
all he need is access to the fog light bulbs since the HID piggy backs onto that. So i think you need to remove the wheel well guard and the bottom engine splash guard...and then you should have access to the fog lights...make sure you put the ballasts as far away from any electronic modules/parts...there have been cases of the magnetic field developed by the ballasts shorting out surrounding modules.
Let us know how it goes, i just ordered my set and will be ready to go next weekend.

What color did you get? i got me some 3K for the fogs and 15K for headlights( just changing bulbs on the headlights here )

I just installed hids in my fogs and all I needed to do was remove about 6 push screws underneath the front bumper, allowing me to pull down the splash guard enough to access the fogs. No removal of bumper needed. Hardest part is deciding where to mount the ballasts.

I installed 6000k fogs and d2s few weeks ago. Fogs are easy, remove about 5-6 push plugs near the front of the car and you have hand access to the fog light bulbs. For the d2s I did it the hard way removing the bumper because I couldn't do it through the wheel well. Next time I am gonna force myself to do it through the wheel well. But because I had the bumper off I was able to place my foglight ballasts nicely. Hope this helps and good luck.

You don't have to install the fogs through the wheel well, there is tons of room to install them after taking the 6 push pins out. It's really simple.

I'll be installing mine today so I'll take some pics. As far as I know there is a small shelf on each side and the ballast fits right in there.

i bought 2 hid kits for low beams and 2 hid kits for fogs

i mounted fog and low beam ballast towards the top of the engine next to each other for one reason...to be able to switch 2 plugs so that i can run fogs with parking lights on and switch it back whenever...the ballasts haven't moved around either

I just finished up swapping out the fogs to hid 3k's and the lowbeams to 12k's from ddmtuning, it was a pretty easy install.

Llfe: that's a clever idea to put them up there, not as functional for those of us who don't use ballasts fo the low beams though

For those of you looking for a place to put them, I mounted mine to the actual bumper, which is two metal bars right above the fog housing. Once you can see the back end of the foglight, you'll see the nice little shelf up there. I just cleaned it off and double sided taped it right in between the two.

I mounted mine on the angled bar that one of the clips that holds the wheel liner on... Pretty obvious when u take the wheel liner off plus it offered an open area that was shielded from the elements!

Sure, here are some iphone pics, they dont really show how yellow they are from head on, but you can tell by the color of the driveway. its been foggy here for the last week, and they've worked wonders.

Also, today i put some time into making the fogs work without the headlights, I took some pictures of that below as well if anyone wanted to do something similar. Basically, I used an 'add-a-fuse' thing from autozone to duplicate the parking light fuse, then ran that hot line to the dash where I put in a toggle switch, then ran from the toggle switch to the driver side fog and used a wire splice to add it to the red line going into the ballast. This was the only way I could think of doing this without a complete rewire or cutting any stock lines. As it stands warranty should still be 100% and the fogs work with the toggle or the stock switch(if the headlights are on). I suppose you could do the same with a constant power fuse, but i opted for this way so i would remember to turn them off..

The 'add a wire' duplicating the tail light fuse, red line ran to toggle switch:

the line from the toggle spliced into the line into the ballast:

I just installed nokya 2500k fogs and the bulbs are two different colors. The one is a nice yellow while the other is just a bit more yellow than stock. I am not happy.

time to scrap them and put in the HID kit...

This also happened to me but with my headlights. Bought a pair of PIAA bulbs that supposedly looks like 6000K but looked like SH*T . Should of listened to my friend. So the same day, I went to blindinghid.com and bought a premium plug and play 8000K Conversion Kit. Had it for six months already. I bought it for $ 130.00.

Its plug and play. I installed HID bulbs on my fathers Escalade. I thought I needed to do some extra wiring like a relay but people from the escalade forums said just plug everything and test... The truck already had a relay LOL... Do you have HID lowbeams on your Max??

Yes Just plug it and it will work. But make sure you find a good place to install it. I installed mines under the headlights where the stock HID is supposed to be. I made a custom bracket for it. Set your headlights to auto. That's what I do.
