Custom CAI: k&n or r2c

So I wanna make a true CAI but i've notices the few guys that have done em (dan and wally lol) use an already bought intake to start off and as the filter....so the question it: should I go with K&N or R2C? I know very little about auto mechanics, so any tips would definitely help!

if it helps to know, the main reason we built it off a SRI is so we can use the main pipe with the slot cut out for the MAF sensor (at least that's why I did, I think that's also why Wally did).

you definitely named two of the top filters to choose from as far as the intake cone goes though. K&N is the best oiled filter, and from what I've seen R2C is the best non-oiled filter. some people think oiled is better because it filters better, some like dry because you never have to do anything but clean the filter and no chance of oil getting on MAF sensors. tough choice honestly..my takeda is a dry filter like the R2C and i have the pre-filter wrapped around it.

hit me up if you have any questions about the CAI or required battery relo, be happy to answer any questions you have
