I bought a 2010 Maxima SV- No Nav but Xm radio, sunroof- no heated seats /steering wheel- assuming I have the basic package-what's the name of it?

ksellers10 - one big issue you're gonna face is you'll want to drive the Maxima all the time and never be at home. also your girl may get pissed at you cause you're going to end up taking more pictures of the car than her. you will also randomly get hated on while driving, lots of glares from people in minivans and SUVs. and finally, you're gonna end up spending money modding it cause you're on the ORG.

id weigh all of them heavily. congrats on the new upcoming purchase.

Thanks guys for the responses. Well i get so much heads turning now. im 19 and ppl look like " whos this young buck driving this nice car" lol but the max is a definate head turner as well which is why im buying it. I absolutely love the features that i am going to gain. as far as my CC the drivetrain sucks! its bulky and sluggish.. when the turbo kicks in its a beast but its so mixed up in firtst and second gear the dsg tranny sucks. I love the CVT. I already want to MOD my MAX when i get it. Just the headlights im thinking about a little creative like tinting the headlights housing all except the xenon bulb i think it will help the xenon bulb stand out! any thoughts?

Yea see well i drove my moms 06 passat and loved the turbo in there. My CC on the other hand is a lot less refined and it jerks and slugs when switching gears when essentially you are not supposed to even feel the shift. I think nissan has done a better job at perfecting the "no shift" feel. IMO i test drove the max and the ride is great

Well, well; a man with an open mind. Lots of folks hate the CVT without ever having driven the 7th gen Maxima with its totally redesigned CVT. It is good to have posters joining here that check things out and decide for themselves. Welcome aboard!

yea i see a lot of ppl on here ******* the max and the CVT. I have researched this car for some time now and i see no flaws with the cvt. the engine sound is great although i wish it had the infiniti exhaust sound. The cvt is silky smooth maybe for someone like me who likes a nice ride but fast as well. I think ppl who dont like the cvt are ppl who want that manual feel IMO

I think people that dislike the cvt choose not to like it because it's different than the normal type of transmission. If you have to feel those shifts, just drive it in manual or sport mode.

hey, not sure if you live in a cold weather city, but if you do, make sure you get all-season tires, some sport-tech packages give you summer tires, just check the sticker

All season tires too, i know you said mats, but don't forget TIRES, otherwise you'll be sliding all over the place
