2012 Maxima S with limited edition package
2012 Maxima S with limited edition package

Just figured I would post a picture of the black Max with the limited edition package. The only thing I have done is tinted the windows 35%, doesn't look like it here because it was very sunny and debadged it. Waiting for my fog light hid conversion and my interior LEDS to come in.
Those black limited edition wheels look especially mean on a black car. The limited edition package adds a lot of goodies without breaking the bank.
I wince every time I see a grocery store cart rack near a Maxima. I avoid those things like the plague. Far too many shoppers unload their basket, then just give the thing a big shove in the general direction of the cart rack and drive off without bothering to notice where the basket actually ends up.
Of course you weren't parking there, but just paused to get a nice pic with the sun at your back. I can tell that is the case because you aren't actually in a parking slot.
By the way - Very nice looking car.

I've had my 2012 Maxima S Limited Edition for about 6 weeks and 1400 miles now.
So far, this car has lived up to my every expectation, and more. It certainly is one of the most fun to drive cars I've ever owned. Still haven't seen many pics on the org of the LE so here are a few of mine. All factory except for the window tint and the license plate frame. The dark grille and alloys together with the smoked headlights and tail lights look awesome on the Winter Frost, imho. I love this car.

Sexy tail lights. I wonder how that would look if you smoked just the red part of it... Nissan should of done a better design with the 2012, 19 inch factory rims.... I prefer the old 19's version better....But that's just me.
How do the taillights differ from a 2011? I have a 2011 Sport and they look the same to me.
There are still a list of goodies on the SV with Sports Package that do not come on the S, LEP or not. And the full Tech package is not available on any version of the S.
Both are very nice, and each fills a particular price segment.
i have a white LE... it is a base model but adds HIDS, foglights, spoiler, and side mirror turn signals. In addition to a sport grille (black middle chrome outer), and the gunmetal wheels... am i missing anything?
Smoked appearance headlights
Compass in rear view mirror
Illuminated kick plates
Internal trim (dark 'piano hairline' trim replaced with metallic trim)
Plus more money remaining in your wallet by going the LE route.
Enjoy!
Add the rear mud guards. Mine did not have the illuminated kick plates. But, it did come with the katzkin leather installed by the dealer.
Nissan's advance press release for the 2012 Maxima Limited Edition Package listed Illuminated Kick Plates as one of the included features. Based on replies here, either Nissan decided to drop the Illuminated Kickplates before 2012 Maxima production began, or dropped them for the 2013 model Maxima.
