V-LEDs Switchback DRL

So I recently upgraded my DRL V-LEDs LED strips to a switchback DRL module, and then upgraded again to a V-LEDs DRL Switchback module. I am finally happy with the function/look of the DRL's. I did have to trim down the DRL module as well as cut holes in the fog grill for it to fit; but am very happy and would highly recommend it as a product. These have the switchback type-2 feature similar to their switchback LED turn signal bulbs, white but amber for turn signal with a delay between switching.

I'll be uploading a short video soon showing them in action; along with V-LEDs switchback turn signals makes for a nice look.

Here's a before/after showing the new DRL on the left and old one on the right.

they're from the V-LEDs website under universal DRL's. it doesn't have any reviews yet but I can personally say they are amazing. definitely rivals maybe beats the quality of those super bright Benz DRL's. the switchback aspect definitely turns heads too. I'll take a quick video of the switchback in action, combined with the switchback V-LEDs turn signals it gives a cool look imo

Ghozt did you ever end up taking a video of the switchbacks by any chance?

Ghozt,
What's your take on the V-LEDs V3 Triton type 2 White/Amber turn signal switchbacks?
They look to be a 1157/3457A fitment front.

Thanks for your input Ghozt.
Looks like pre-order for mid March shipping. I need to contact them about the rear turns as they list 7443 vs.7440A Max.
If I end up getting these I'll post up a video once installed.

ghozt, i was wonder what line you tapped into to have your halos run as DRL along with the others.. assuming you are tapped into another line.

sorry just seeing this now. the halos/drl/iron man are all wired up to a wireless remote actually, which has a fused wire running over to the battery. this way i can turn them on/off without the car on and give demonstrations. when installing this i had NO idea how often id actually be doing that, it ended up being quite often!

Say a person doesn't need nor want a remote? Where would we tap in then?

If you want you can tap into the parking light and if its a switchback, the yellow would tap into the turn signal light. I believe there is a DIY somewhere ok this. I don't like this way because that means the parking light is on when the LEDs come on. I like the Benz look with no yellow showing at all.

Option 2 is to buy a DRL relay that connects directly to your battery. Comes on when the car starts and turns off when you turn the car off. I did this and for the VLEDs it didn't work for me too well. I went through 3 modules and the fluctuating temps in Boston caused that. At colder temps the battery ran between 13-13.3 volts and at higher temps it would be higher up to 14.1 V. The relay would work sporadically during cold temps and perfect during warmer temps.

I switched to the remote its somewhat cheaper and you have the ability to connect anything you want on the car and control it. Works at both temps no problem so far. The only con here is if you forget to turn it off bye bye battery lol!

Where would you suggest getting some comparable to the one shown in the photo?

Bumping this thread, curious if anyone knows where we can find an equivalent LED strip that Ghozt is using on his bumper as the daytime running lights.

I also can't seem to find a legitimate 3457A switchback LED anywhere...
