I agree with Ghozt. Had VLED backup lights on my 2001 Grand Prix, and holy $#!t those things were bright. Like having mini HID lamps in your tail lights

Yes, I have the vleds. You needed pics. There you go. I have had it for almost 2 years now. When I bought it, one went out after 5 days. I called vleds and they sent me new replacemt pair with a return envelope for the pair I had, though only one of them was defective. I was pleased. Since then, mine has been working perfectly. I have had 2 people follow me from a grocery store just to meet me at a light to ask me about my reverse bulbs. You will love them.

Like this idea but how much work is it to install? Seems that bulbs on this car are a nightmare to access. Compared to my old Passat. Would like to install these, possibly turns and license plate lights...

Absolutely worth their price. You will get compliments. No one I have seen nor heard of compares to these. Common now, its just $50.00. Not like its way too much. Besides, this is the best I know out there so far. There are others out there, but not as bright as these. Except you plan to go with a full hid kit as your reverse lights.

Watch the 2 youtube videos I found for you.

DEFINITELY worth the money. You get what you pay for with LEDs. With my OEM bulbs I could barely see, now it's like daytime when I reverse park. You can try some of the less expensive V-LEDs options for the 912/921 socket but as price would dictate the one I linked is the best/brightest for the money. If you look on their site though they have a ton of highly rated high output bulbs.

I went the cheaper LED route first before V-LEDs, because I like you thought they were too expensive. Those are all in the trash because over the first 6 months they all turned blue flickered or burnt out. I'm done with cheap LEDs. V-LEDs all the way man and no they didn't pay me to say this lol

na people make em sound hard. just remove the liner, take off the 2 nuts on the 2 bolts, and hammer on the end of the bolts with a rubber mallet. i hit mine 4-5 times now and my tails pop right out. ive heard alot of horror stories about ppl prying at the lights with all sorts of stuff and cracking the edges; id stick with the mallet method its pretty hard to screw up

Thanks. I'll give the rubber mallet a try today

Btw how do remove the push pins on lower panel where your cargo net hooks onto ??? These push pins are a lot bigger and attached
To the plastic also

use a flathead screwdriver to pull the centers out (those are 2 pieces) and then pull the outer ring out. btw dont go all Conan when swinging that mallet you dont wanna miss and smash any of the metal around there lol

thanks i went out and got a push pin puller, all the tabs came out easy with it..took all apart and used rubber Mallet but the metal tabs would not come out, the light moved out alittle and it seemed if i pulled it out further the black piece around top of lights in the water channel would snap..so i said
'F" IT NOT worth breaking my tail lights

IF ANYONE wants to buy a set of REVERSE BULBS, EMAIL me g5whit@aol.com

brand new still in package...

you gave up too easy bro. the black plastic piece is attached to the tail lights, if you're hitting the bolts from the inside of the trunk how would that break? nevermind man if you are this nervous about installing the bulbs then yeah prolly better to resell them to another member at this point good idea.

yes i wAS only hitting the 2 bold studs with rubber mallet, but they would not pop out after spending like 45min on it..Also the corner of the car where the black piece circled above is and arrow pointing is, everytime i hit the studs, that black piece was also stuck on the car frame, feeling like if i hit the studs or popped it out the black piece attached to lights would break cause it wont make it by the frame its soo tight....

hope that made sense above

you do have to hit the bolts kinda hard. that black plastic piece is attached to my tail light, iuno why yours would be attached to the car thats strange.

im sure you can swing by the local Nissan dealership and pay them to swap in the lights. if you do watch how they remove the light; you'll see where I learned this method. they also had some strap that hooked to the light they pulled on too but they mainly used a rubber mallet.

sorry maybe didnt explain well, yes mine attached to light also, but its real snug again the frame corner. so if u pull straight out it catches alittle.

i didnt even think of wedging a Rubber rope type thing behind light and pulling

maybe ill try that

thanks for the help Ghozt

ouch. yeah thats why i steer people away from using the method in that how-to, ive known at least 5 or 6 people now who have broken a piece off their tail light doing it that way. i feel like mods should take that post down before more people damage their cars but they prolly wont touch it.

USE THE RUBBER MALLET METHOD PEEPS. Here is your most recent warning ^^^

Way to do . Took all of 2min to pop light out. I wasn't about
To let this mod beat me. Lol

I will post pics and more detail on HOW TO

here are the MUST have tools.
rubber mallet
push pin puller (buy one at auto store for $8 if u dont have- a must!)
wood etc to hit on end of bolt studs so u dont damage anything near

2nd... i highly recommend you insert a very small micro fiber etc along underneath of lights to prevent any scrapes etc....plenty of room to wedge it under.

3rd..EASIEST WAY TO REMOVE LIGHT, took 1-2min and popped out
-after nuts are removed from back of lights, take your Mallet and block of wood ,hit both nut studs to loosen light. youll see it pop out alittle.
-once popped out you can grab corner of light and pull out some more, then take your push pin tool and place in the inside of Nut and push back again car frame to pry light out..all you need to do here is apply alittle pull pressure to the Stud with tool at same time tap screws on inside of trunk a few times and lights will pop out so easily

make sure you apply pressure on stud against car frame and NOT pushing on tail light to push out -otherwise You will crack light . you want to push the tool against car frame with nut hooked with tool and while tapping on inside with mallet those metal studs will pop out and light is out

hope i explained it ok..
