Anybody Have Any Info On This?
I was browsing through the thread and a user named "Jam_Roc" posted this.

He did not know anything about it. Can anybody comment on this or anything they've seen like this? I'm very interested in finding something like this but the company is overseas and I'm a little nervous about wasting 650 dollars.

Yeah man, I saw it too. I was looking on their website and read up on it a little and I love it! I e-mailed them asking for more info and also to make sure this actually fits our cars. I see that they are in Australia. I don't know about you, but I have a 2010 sv with the screen option. Will keep you posted if/ when they answer back. I did a google search on their company, I didn't find anything so that is a little suspect.

Ok so gents, I now e-mailed the jewellet sales department since it looked like they had actual questions from some members. I asked a bunch of questions, I will post if/ when I find out something.
My email with jewellett.com goes like this:
Me:
I love the way your product looks and I would like to find out some more info more a future purchasing. Is the system capable with the 7th generation Nissan Maxima that already has the color screen w/ out navigation? What original in-car equipment will need to be removed for installed? I have a SV model, they come with A/C controls and radio in the lower portion of the console, under the screen, does that have an effect on anything? What is the shipping price and time to North Carolina? Is it possible that you can provide more info and I will post on a Maxima forum for other curious members who will buy as well, will you be willing to do a group discount?
Erica:
Thank you for your interested in our Nissan Teana/Maxima DVD player. This unit can fit your car. You needn't remove to original in car equipment. Because it is compatible with original radio in car. The shipping cost is USD92.00 and 3-5 days.
If you want to know more info about our products, you can contact us. Hope we could do business with you, and looking forward to you reply.
Best Regards!

The quality of this I'm sure is not great, but it's a radio. It sits in the dash and doesn't move, it doesn't have any buttons to loss or break, but a screen that may not be the best. I think I will bite the bullet when I move to Tx in two weeks and buy one! Yes....I will be test subject!
Here's my response from Jewellet.
Me:
> I'm wondering if this will fit the 2009 nissan maxima with out factory color screen. I have the Monochrome orange screen in my 2009 SV Maxima Sport.
The wiring harness for the Monochrome maxima models and factory navigation models is different and that's why I ask. I am in the USA, and I'm not sure the Teana has the same wiring set up.
Jewellet:
Hi, Kyle, have a good day! Thank you for your interested in our Nissan Teana/Maxima DVD player. If your original vehicle control same with the picture in the attachment, our products will fit you car. Thanks.
Yours sincerely,

The attachment she sent me was of a vehicle not even remotely close to a maxima or teana. It's even a stick shift! I don't have high hopes for their employees actually knowing if it will work. All we can do is order one and hope.

The responses you will get from these companys are gonna be weird and very uninformative... you have to realize they probably dont speak english and read your messages thru a translator and write you back thru a translator...
To find out more info about these products because there are tons of them... just google search for example: nissan teana dvd gps player or nissan maxima dvd gps player.........

I kept doing more research this morning. If I was going to buy, I'd be buying this one. http://www.aliexpress.com/fm-store/6...-IPOD-2GB.html
It has the most info of any that I have seen and I really like the user interface. Supposedly Ali Express is a reputable site that allows people to sale through them. (Like Ebay). The seller shows a 1 year warranty. Ali Express shows a guarantee that your product will arrive. If you buy with paypal and use your credit card as your paying method, Paypal has a guarantee on items and so does your credit card. All that being said, I wish I had an extra 400 to throw at this right now!

I would be down to try this but there questions that still need to be awnsered.
Will we retain our Bluetooth/Volume steering wheel controls?
Will we have to do anything extra to get GPS to work?
Will our HVAC controls still work?
Will we be able to plug a camera into this and will it work when we put it in R or do we have to wire more stuff?
Our Harness might fit but we have "US" spec cars, so how "US" friendly is this?
It wont matter if its Plug and Play if it wont work with the equipment we have already.

Will it fit a 2010 Nissan Maxima with color screen, bose system without GPS? Can you send me some more specs on this? If that is not the one that works, please advise me on which one, thank you

honestly, im looking for a screen to place in that space... i have a 7' alpine radio installed where the radio is at, and the top is useless excpt for the HVAC when ever i have the AC on. other than that.. i would like to have a replacement scree nthere where i could wire it with RCA cables so i can get a display there with my alpine. has anyone come across this?

hmm not yet. i havent found a screen that i find worthy enough to place there... but im searching.. i mean... any LCD 7inch screen will do.. all the once i found come with buttons and such so those are not ideal..\
im looking for something like this
http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?inv...ADREST-MON-2PK
but without the controls on it.. the wiring is perfect. since my aradio has the option to control all of that..

ok i found something.
it is 6.1 inch screen so i have to see if we can work with it.. and its a bit pricey.. around 300$ but it may work.
http://pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/C...adio+(SPH-DA01)
this can also be connected to the CPU of the car via vehicle’s OBD-II data port and give you the vehicles info and so on. this is what i was looking for.. and it also is very iphone friendly since it works mainly with apps. it is touchscreen and does not "flip" out to put CDs and such.. (atleast i didnt see it did, theres vids of it).
my guess is if it fits perfectly in the spot.. custom make a adapter for it, which should be fairly. i shalll do more research on it but looks like this could be it.

i bought it from Best buy. its on sale for the same price online and incase it doesnt work.. i just return it. will let you know how my install goes and wil ltake pics.
well what i tried, doesnt work.. the radio's depth is 7 inches and the hole is not deep enough.. about 5 inches before you hit a firewall and the AC plastic air ducts... there is a new version of the Appradio coming out and i have emailed pioneer asking them about the dimensions...
its useless that they made the appradio 7 inches long since it doenst even read CD's.. they just used left over cases from other DVD/NAV receivers.. it is super lightwieght and what i saw that is almost hollow inside.. so i made usre i pointed that out to them.. hopefully i have good news this week. but i will for sure do this. .even if i have to modify the AppRadio that i curently bought.

I've been going back and forth with one chinese vendor for about two weeks now making sure every wire is correct and the interface is something that i would like. They've been very helpful and seem to speak decent english. (not one of those online translator programs) The last step I am waiting on is them to show me my wiring harness is exactly the same wire for wire.
My company outsources many products to china and we get good products back. At this time, this one vendor thinks that I am planning on buying bulk and rebranding the product in the USA, so they've been extremely helpful. But I will make sure everything is perfect for our car before I waste money. I'll keep updated if this dream becomes a reality in my car.

There are two guys selling these on ebay, so far three has been sold, two to one buyer. If only only there was a way to ask the buyer how well it worked out for them.

So I have been talking to one of the service guy at the dealer and he told me about this guy that do custom work on audio/video. He spoke to the guy and he can do a factory look navigation and camera, with amber screen replaced. All for the sum of $1300.. They will send me photos of the his work to view. Oh, it also comes with a 3yr warranty.
I havent been back to the dealer so no updates. Been in contact with a few chinese vendors. I was told by one that the controls from you existing unit would no longer work after you install their gps system. I couldnt live having the unit there and it just being dead so that was a no no.
I found another vendor whom stated that after installing their system, though you wont need your 6 disk changer anymore, all the button on you existing system will be integrated into the new. You can use your original volume control etc.
He had 2 available but they were bought by one person last night. This now, leads me to believe that people are putting these units in their vehicle. Its either they are not saying or they are not on this board.

The units have gotten significantly cheaper it seems but I still haven't seen anyone put one of these in. The interface seems clean and it seems to run smooth and nice. Good luck getting tech support for problems or upgrades to the GPS though. http://www.happyshoppinglife.com/nis...bus-p-371.html
I would like to share a brief summary or review on a similar product I had installed on my previous car.
I'm in no way affiliated and connected to these manufacture's and you'll get no or little support from them when there's some problems. They do respond through e-mails though, with a day worth of lag.
It was a 8" screen double-din Nav/GPS/TV/DVD/Radio/Bluetooth/Aux (I-pod and 3.5mm plug)/ USB/Micro SD for $350 running a Microsoft CE OS in the background.
You'll find the same setup in these Chinese made double-din stereo all over the net for every model of the car manufacturers out there. There's two major Chinese stereo manufacture for these stereo's and they use the same setup, software and probably same parts supplier for their units that they market and sell to every possible Chinese online retailer's that you'll come across in the net. (Word of caution about AliExpress, I first ordered my unit through them and waited three weeks and they didn't even bother to reply to my e-mails for order status, so I've cancelled it and ordered the same unit from another website retailer for $50 LESS!
)
These units have two computer boards that are independent (one for Nav/GPS and other for Stereo/DVD/TV/Radio) and work seamlessly when switching from one to the other (no jitter or lag).
Everyone of these units share the same user interface, one website might have a user interface that may look cleaner or updated, (and it is because it is the newer OS CE and user interface...).
The factory plugs did come in a plug N play, no other dongles or aftermarket connectors were necessary. Back of these units looked very impressive as far as all assortments of Line-outs, pre-amp, sub, channels, Video input/output, all of this for $350
)
The strongest point of their setup was the Navigation system; mine came with I-Go 8 installed and it was much better GPS/Nav system then the Garmin, Tom TOM, and Magellan ( I owned and also used lot of these in rentals from my business travels). The I-Go 8 in these systems are exponentially better then the current GPS/Nav in the Maxima ( I currently have the factory Nav in my Maxima and wish there was a hack to install the I-go 8 in my car...
) You'll know what I mean if you've ever used I-go8, and they are upgrade-able and there's full support by software misfits who customize and make changes to the Navigation much like the people who root and custom ROM their android phones.
Now onto the stereo portion: the sound is adjustable with left/right, front/back fade using the touch screen. Touch screen isn't as responsive or accurate as say I-phone or Galaxy phones, but they work just as well as the Nissan factory touch screen on my car. As for the sound, you can adjust the Treble, Bass, and Mid-range using the touch screen as well. The Treble at the highest setting is pretty sharp, and Bass is so, so at the highest setting ( Manufacturer said 50Wx4 ) but realistically I found it close to 5Wx4 in RMS wattage.
In quest for better music, I hooked up 4 Polk Audio 6"x9" (200 Watt per speaker) through the 1000 Watt Rockford Fosgate Amp. And the sound was amazing through these Chinese made Nav/stereo units. Sorting through the music list for MP3 in the USB stick and MicroSD connected to the Chinese unit was similar experience, as when navigating through the USB stick in my Maxima... it was all mixed up and pain in the A$$.
But in the end, I've used my Sony NWZ-X series MP3 Walkman through it and that made it sound totally out of this world. Currently I use the same Walkman on my Bose factory system in my Maxima and it also sounds totally out of this world.
