JUST Stance...

What's up 7th Genners!

I'm BeeCee, moderator over at NissanClub.com. I own a highly modifed 2nd Gen. Alty (Check sig). I'm a huge Nissan enthusiast, and lurk here often.

But enough about me! I'm posting this thread for a good friend.

Got a '09 that I'm going to be wrenching on hard very soon (I'ma DIY Backyard Mechanic ). Going to be ordering some coils ASAP, and gonna fit some nice wheels on right after the slam.

Still in the air if I wanna do a K-Sport/D2 setup (1 piece) or a Meagan/BC setup (indepedent suspension, same as OEM setup.)

I'm going to be using this thread to update the progress on the car, some helpful DIY tips, and of course for some good eye-candy for you guys to check out!

BUT...

Browsing thru the "Rims on their 7th Gen Max MEGA Thread" kinda had me worried , saw a WHOLE lotta wheel gap, whole lotta im-proper fitment, along with even more chome. Kinda had me worried bout the 7th gen. community. Hoping some of you tasteful modders come in and redeem some of what I've seen from your fellow members.

Where's all the slammed, stanced, low, CLEAN 7th gens?

7th Gens. like this:

Those who fit into this category I'm sure know who you are, and know what I'm talking about.

If you are on coilovers, and/or on coilovers with some nice fitting wheels, post some pics up with some specs, and what you're on! I've seen white09maxima's car, nismo2010's car, misterknee's car, couple others, and this beast...

Trying to see who else is out there, and see what I missed!!

Come show off your clean, low & slammed MAX!

*And please, to the thread-jackers who just love to ***** their car on every thread possible, please don't post your car if you aren't dropped and aren't really low. Thanks in advance.

Wow red one is red hot!!

Go with the integrated spring strut like bc...The megans seperate oem style set up is troublesome and the thread on the rear spring sleeve will strip easy and they will not warranty it.

Thanks for your input man!

I thought the BC's were seperate too just like the OEM setup. So the BC's are 1 piece then?

And aren't you on Meagan's, and your advising to stay away from them? Interesting.

Looks really good man! I like. But agreed lol. It is amazing how much a nice drop on coils can do for a car tho, good job on making coils one, if not your 1st mod.

well i was being very vague when i said this....a NEW passenger side Axle from nissan is $650

to reboot it costed me $35 but since my boy does that **** he only charged me for the boot the boot is $35 then to reboot is usually about $100

i got MY axle from a crashed 2010 maxima with 13K miles on it from a salvage yard for $150.....

sorry should of cleared that up but yes nissan does want 650 for an axle which is pretty ridiculous....i also have 120,000 miles on my car and its been dropped since day 1 or week 1 whatever.

and i actually am going to be replacing my 2 lower control arms this weekend i just purchased them both from nissan for $270.00 ...lol with my mechanic discount...pretty sick how much in repairs im spending this month, Just normal wear and tear guys this is a awesome car trust me and very reliable.

its been moded since day 1 and i have 120,000 on the dash so yeah control arms are wear and tear spark plugs drain n fill antifreeze all that good **** getting done this weekend

Nice set ups with the coilovers guys but id like to see the wheels out more like that lil 5mm will do a huge difference and the only way to do it is... rolling your fenders

But dont get me wrong they look dope im just sayin for the perfect stance you gotta work on your offsets.

What did you guys do as far as camber? Front & back? I saw someone mention using a Spec Rear Camber Kit, Part #72050 in some of my searching...

well coilovers come with camber adjustments up top (at least mine did) then i purchased the eibach camber kit off the 2008 altima (which is the same suspension layout as the 7th gen maxima)

you just need to go to a GOOD wheel alignment spot that knows how to mess with coilovers my alignment with full camber adjustment was $170 but it lasted me the whole summer until i removed the coilovers for the winter.

essential1: you have a sick i30 everytime i see it im like wow that car sits nice!

POST SOME PICS COILOVER & Airbag 7TH GENS!

and please dont roll your fenders i suggest just cutting the lip because if the paint chips a little where u roll it water will sit on that lip and cause rust! 2-3years down the line esp in areas where they put salt on roads for winter.

for all the new york guys these are the 2 best spots for wheel alignments for people that have coilovers

Yea I know they got the camber-plates up front. I've got K-Sports on my car, and I've slammed a few other cars on coils. I'm at the point where I can nearly get my alignment perfect by myself on my car.

But, I have yet to do a car with a independent suspension in the rear tho, such as 3rd, 4th gen. Altys, & 6th, 7th gen. Max's. I was talking more in reference to the rear camber. I saw a couple people mention having no camber options in the rear in some of the coil thread's I've come across. Then I saw someone mention using the Spec Kit part # 72050.

So you are using the 4th gen. Alty Eibach rear camber kit then huh?

Damn...your running a Eibach Camber Kit in the front in addition to the Camber Plate the coils already have? That's some Boss ****, do you have any extra options by having the camber kit still installed?

And I don't have a link because I'm not even too sure exactly what it is. I searched the 7th Gen. Forums for a couple days for Coilover threads, didn't come up with much, but I found a few threads with some useful info. I saw someone mention in one of the threads he was using a "Spec Rear Camber Kit, Part #72050" for his rear coilover setup.

I'm not sure which thread it was or who said it, but I'm sure if I did some quick digging I could probably find it. But I'm sure if you Google the part # you probably can find something. I'll do some searching myself and post what I come up with.

I would like to make sure I have everything I'm going to need for the coilover install. Because on my car for example, you HAVE to buy adjustable rear endlinks to run coilovers. I want to make sure there isn't any hidden secrets like that with this car...

But MOAR pics! Still want to see some wheel sizes, offsets, etc. Where's everybody at?

There aren't too many guys here that are slammed, most of us only have the Eibach Pro Kit and only a few have coilovers like Kmoney, IFuX and a few others but that's about it.

Money is funny these days and most people just can't afford to play that way so we go the next best route.

I like your pics a lot though.

Spc doesn't make camber bolts for the rear. Hmmm, I gotta c it to believe it, I'm running 4.5* camber all around and my wheels are 12"s on the rear and it hits the nut on the coilovers, Im running megan racing coils and I have no issues what so ever with the coilovers . I have spc camber bolts on the front and the ONLY way to get any kind of ONI camber on the max is to do control arms on the rear. You will get 4.5* max on the rear alignment and it happens only due to the car being so low and a little tweaking at the shop but these cars don't use camber bolts on the rears. I wanna see pix I call bullsh!t on that comment. And the guys who's car look like mine, I gotta see that. Btw spacers are for lames get your money up and get something custom, you are driving a brand new car for god sake, I you can't afford it go back to Honda!
