Difference between Analog and Digital HID's?

There is this company that offers Analog HID's for $79 (which I own and are AWSOME. 6K), then they have a "digital" set for $149. A friend of mine wants to go for the digital ones. I called the company and all the rep could tell me was the digital ones are more reliable and consistant. Anyboby have more info?

I pulled this off of a Camaro fourm:

Analog ballasts are the thicker ballasts, Digital are the slim ones.

Analog ballasts work just fine with auto-on headlights featured on some vehicles. Digital doesn't play as nice with the auto-on headlight but it does work just fine on some cars.

Analog ballasts have snap-on wire connections to the ballast, Digital ballasts have sealed connections and are completely water tight while the analogs are not (just water resistant).

Analog ballasts take a little bit longer to warm up, Digitals are quicker.

and this isn't known for sure but my understanding is that the slim ballasts (digital) last longer under normal use. Not sure but seems to pan out because of it being completely sealed.
