Car Cover for a few months?

Hey guys, I'm going to Training for the National Guard from like April to November, and my car is just gonna be sitting on the drive way . Living in Chicago, I'm pretty sure thats the smart move, but when I looked up decent car covers they cost over $300, is it worth it? I'm probably only gonna use it just this once.. does anyone have any alternatives or anything?

No one you trust to take care of it? It's not only the outside you have to worry about when it sits that long but under the hood (fluids) and tires (flatspotting, possible rot).

This...you don't have anyone that can come crank it up every week or so. Maybe drive it around the corner and back or something too?

I've used a high quality throughout the bad winters in Ma. Nothing got under the cover. The car looked just as good as the day I covered it.
I think I paid like 250$ and was rated weather proof snow/rain

And yes try and have someone start
Ur cAr once in a while
