IDK about that, I just installed my Borla, and Racingline Y-pipe, with my K&N Typhoon, and it Sounds incredible. I paid 850 for my Borla, but I put it on myself. Well worth it IMHO.

yea i wish i could have gotten a better deal on the borla but it is what it is i was actually charged 950 for the borla all in all i paid 200 for the labor. im just not savvy enough to install it myself, but i actually called a few places after i had it done and every shop wanted to charge 1600 to 1700 they were all trying to charge me 40 extra bucks for the k and n and more in labor so i like the deal. oh and how much did you pay for your y pipe and intake?

also i just got off the phone with borla, and the full catback exhaust comes with a y-pipe so is there a benefit from getting the racingline?

I wasn't present for your conversation with Borla but they do not offer a Y-pipe with the exhaust. I think you wanted to say that the Y-pipe dosen't come with the Borla CBE. If it does it's a new one one me!
Yes there is a benefit from installing the RL y-pipe with the Borla. 1<cat.

You could of done the Intake yourself for free. The exhaust isn't too bad if you have a compressed lift. 200 for installation ain't to bad. If you have money to throw around, go for it!

just took my car back to the shop they said the exhaust came with a y-pipe and when i called borla told me there was a y-pipe and purchasing a different one would be a waste of money. maybe they changed the exhaust for the 09 compared to the 11. the part number is 140386

i see the difference but i took it to my local mod shop and asked about it, they said borlas y-pipe is better and to stick with it. you would think they would want to to buy it so they could make money off the part and install so i have to believe them and borla. not trying to start an argument but give borla a call and ask them about it.

If you received a y-pipe with your purchase then it means you are winning. You got a darn good deal.

I am thinking that the people that don't know Max would look at tubing that connects both mufflers, look at its shape and think, Y-pipe, after all it is shaped like a Y.

Best solution is the count the pieces that were installed. If its over 5 pieces then I am buying from your vendor.

BTW, no argument here, just trying to gain and share knowledge.

Two different "Y-pipe" interpretations going on here....Jam_Roc illustrated it well.
RL is the actual Y-pipe.
