Just received my happybuyitnow spoiler off ebay, quality looks good, came with 3m tape preinstalled on the spoiler and a tube of what looks like silicone glue or something.

Also- Happybuyitnow has price price guaranteed.

What do you think of the craftsmanship? How does the paint looks? Does it feels bumpy when you run your hand across it?

My car is the crimson black color and the spoiler paint is spot on. Craftsmanship is good, paint is smooth when i run my hand across it. He was recommended by another max.org member, so i went for it. I'm sure you'll recognize the car on the ebay listing.

Anybody having issues with the adhesive tape on the roof wing coming off or loosening? It looks like I'm going to have to go out tomorrow and put some 2 ton epoxy underneath mine. It seems to be lifting up on the rear passenger side. Anyone else having these issues?

Sounds like you didn't use any 3m adhesive promoter. How long has it been installed? I use the promoter before I stuck mine down and I don't think it will be going anywhere at all.

The body shop that painted it for me also installed it about 5 months ago. I know they scrubbed it down with alcohol before they put it on. At this point the only thing I can think of is using the epoxy on it.

Haven't installed mine yet. I added another line of 3M tape to the middle of the spoiler. Do you really need to use the 3m adhesive promoter? Where do you apply it? Do you rub it on the tape or the surrounding areas?
I put a rear roof spoiler on my TL and all I did was add more 3M tape without using the silicone it came with and it was fine for 2 1/2 years.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions as I will probably install it this weekend.

For what it's worth, mine did not come with any extra adhesive, just the double strips of 3M. I cleaned the glass with rubbing alcohol and put it on. It does not move. Car-wash proven as well.

If it ever falls off, I'll pick up some adhesive, but the red 3M tape is pretty strong stuff. I had chrome accents on my previous car for almost 10 years and they never budged. Still on as far as I know.

If you can get your max over 150mph, it will help to hold down the rear end for better traction.

Oh wait, these are FWD cars.

I've got dark slate with the glass roof. Do you think I should I go for dark slate or black to match the roof?

Thanks!

I've seen the white with the black spoiler and it seems to make sense in that scenario... I'm just thinking with the dark slate it may look slightly different.

That being said I think I am leaning towards black.

Go with the black if you have the glass panoramic roof.

Just bought my black roof wing from shadow.speed. $88, hope it's well spent. Anyone have any feedback for how it holds up through winter? I'm assuming I'll have to be careful with it when scraping off snow.

I took mine off last winter and will probably do the same this winter. I make my wife remove the 3m tape and prep it for the spring. I'm all set blistering my fingers up, plus it gives her something to do instead of bothering me.

Shadow speed doesn't have 2011 KBC slate grey as a color choice. Is this under a different code?

Maxima spoiler

I just did this install on my 2010 Max yesterday in an hour!! Check out http://spoilerandwingking.com/ . Had it shipped to my front door for $112. I too was sceptical and especially nervous about drilling holes in the trunk lid, but it was pretty easy following the directions. Color matched perfectly too.

I added them as well. Had the dealer install the trunk wing for liability.
Got the roof spoiler from kyonick on ebay like $80 including delivery. Got the super black one as my car is white with an all glass top. Looks **** can show pics if interested. I recommend that vendor on ebay highly.

Just make sure when installing the roof wing that u clean the area with rubbing alcohol first as it adheres with 3M tape. Holds very tight tho fear not.
I had to bend mine a tiny bit to make it line up but the material is very pliable.

How are your roof wings holding up, paint still look good on them? I'm particularly interested to see how Shadow.Speeds paint holds up. I've heard about some paint cracking issues over time. Otherwise I think I'm about to order one!
