Autolock 2012? Newbie!

Hey everyone I'm new to this forum, but not to Nissan at all. Ive had a Nissan Sentra SE-R spec V, 99 Maxima GLE, 2002 Maxima GLE and now 2012 Maxima S lol yeah I have a thing for Maxima's....

My Question

Is this a way to turn off the Auto lock feature whenever the car is in motion?

Also off topic, but I take it there's no CAI for 2012's? All im seeing is the SAI

Thank you!

I believe you have to put the car to the on position, and then press and hold the lock or unlock button for 10 seconds at which point your turn signals will flash.. Hope it helps..

AUTOMATIC DOOR LOCKS

All doors lock automatically when the vehicle speed reaches 15 MPH (24 km/h).

All doors unlock automatically when the ignition is placed in the OFF position.
The automatic lock and unlock functions can be deactivated or activated independently of each other. To deactivate or activate the automatic door lock or unlocksystem, perform the following procedure:
1. Close all doors.
2. Place the ignition switch in the ON position.
3. Do one of the following within 20 seconds of performing Step #2:● To change AUTO UNLOCK settings: push and hold the power door lock switch tot he position (UNLOCK) for more than 5 seconds.● To change AUTO LOCK settings: push and hold the power door lock switch to the position (LOCK) for more than 5 seconds.

Taken from the Quick Reference Guide supplied in your Owners Packet in the glove box

For some reason I found this procedure confusing, but what he posted above is correct. The only thing i will add though is that your hazard indicators will flash twice when you activate the feature, once when you disable it.

You would be correct all intakes for the 2009 + Maxima's are SAI not true cold air intakes. However Ghozt fab his own write up is on MY7thGen.org and there are some here who I believe are looking into creating one using the R2C intake.

R2C is probally the best bc it fits into the shroud that draws in air from the front but it still suffers the heat soak at idle. I honestly Doubht you'll see much more things getting added for our cars bc it's getting close to the new Gen possibility
