Quick question, I had a 2010 sport with navigation traded for a 2012 premium with navigation. I thought that on the 2010, once you pressed unlock on the key fob , the interior lights would illuminate very briefly, then go out.
Those this occur on he 2012 or was I just dreaming that it happened?
The setting for the lights are on door, tried ll settings and they do not come on.

 

On my '12 there is a setting that can turn that on or off. It's called auto illumination and I believe it is in the comfort options settings on the NAV.

 

isn't it on the dome light switch? like the "on" "off" & "door"?

 

If the auto illumination setting is turned off in the NAV screen menus and the switch near the map lights is in the door position then the lights will only come on when a door is physically open. See below copied from the owner's manual....

Auto Interior Illumination: Select to turn on or
turn off the illumination of the interior lights when
any door is unlocked.

It's the first one listed under Settings>Others>Comfort

 

Okay, that was the problem in the Nav setting! Must be turned on!
