in dash unit

Hey guys just picked up a silver styling package 2012 maxima. Couldn't afford the sv so couldn't get the back up camera and wife needs it lol since she can't park as it is. I don't see dash kit anywhere to put a alpine or similar aftermarket unit. Seen a few factory units out of a g37 or murano. Any ideas if It's possible to make those work or if anyone's swapped out the non nav units? Not feeling the lil 3" units that look like a Garmin or anything. Thanks guys

Probably too much work to get a factory unit, and costly. But yes they make a kit for the non-nav maximas with the standard red 7" display.

avic-z140bh by pioneer. I can find that locally here for $900. I work with pioneer units all the time (i'm an installer) and I love it. it's the best model they have and does everything.

Just beware of online sites, if they aren't authorized dealers, you won't have a warranty.

Considered that unit, but I couldn't get passed having my mono display just sitting there blank with the exception of HVAC controls....

I know I don't like that fact either but really have no choice on it unless I spend big bucks and have somewhere do something custom.

No I don't really care about nav as much as the back up camera so she don't play bumper cars LOL

just a update got it all handled
white wire to a relay on top of the fuse block inside the car for camera..works perfect
also wired up the aswc-1 and you have to swap the wires around opposite of what axxess suggest to get it all to work right

Glad you got it all hooked up. What do you mean by swap wires around? I've always wondered why I only was able to get the volume buttons to work...

Just as Shipwreck mentioned, what do you have to swap and what controls do you gain? Setting up a Kenwood unit and your answer would help me set it right.
