Steering Wheel Motor making noise 2009 Max

So I am in the 38th month of a 39 month 2009 maxima lease and the telescopic steering wheel motor is now acting erractic and not moving the wheel up/down without my assistance - furthermore the wheel moves itself down upon me disengaging the alarm when entering.

I am out of warranty and the car goes back in a month. I have disengaged the auto move wheel up feature when i shut off the car/open door. Are there any other options to get rid of this headache? Is there a dedicated fuse I could pull that wouldnt cause any other issues?

I am out of warranty by 2 months and am not looking to spend money to repair a car I will only be in possession of for another month.

looking forward to your advice.

I believe this is the issue that some others have posted here with the motor not working properly. I believe the fix for those that had this issue was they had to replace the motor... I haven't had this issue so I can't say 100% what the fix is.

Replace both motors. About $450 in parts from what i have read. There is service bulletin out there on it. Search the subject and you should find the link.
