Umnitza Orion V2 4300k Angel Eyes
Umnitza Orion V2 4300k Angel Eyes
I thought I would share my experience on this product. I was interested in putting DRLs on my 2012 Maxima, however I wanted to maintain an OEM look. Thanks to Tim over at Umnitza, he informed me that the Orion V2 angel eyes were available in 4300k color. I decided to bite the bullet, and couldn't be more happier. Below are some pics.
Note: Fog lamps and high beams have Philips Crystal Vision Ultra bulbs. Low beams are OEM HIDs.

**UPDATED**
I moved the rings to the outside of the shroud and painted the headlights black.

Looks awesome! I have the umnitzas as well but the 6000k I believe which are blue-r..
I like how you installed the rings inside the shroud.. Mines a on top.. Any plans to add the highbeam angel eyes as well? I added those and the car looks mean..

Nah, I had a local shop handle the install.
I was torn between the 6000k and 4300k. Don't think you can go wrong either way. I actually have 4 rings, but only installed 2. I wasn't sure how it would look without a projector in the high beam. Do you have pics of your set up?

yea do the highbeam projector and add the second halos, definitely brings it up a notch. looks great though man! it took forever to figure out which Umnitza halos fit our shroud and get them to add it to their site lol
I will get night pics up after I charge my camera. Here is a link to the ones I purchased. I had to call to get the 4300k color. They were $30 more than the 6000k, which is standard :/

Ghozt-
What projectors did you use for the high beams? Do you have a write up of how you installed them? I want to thank you for doing all the R&D on these rings. I looked over your pics and vids a dozen times before purchasing.

I didn't do complete projectors actually, I never use my high beams so I just stuck a shroud/lens/halo in the high beam area.
I really like two things about this install, 1 that you got a new color I didn't know thats an option, and 2 that its installed on the inside of the projector shroud. I can't do that cause of my iron man but damn that looks clean. A+

they'll need some trimming to fit, but they work. also you may want a lens (even if its just epoxied on there pointlessly) or it will look odd with no lens in the shroud
the FX-R 2.5" ones. i just epoxied it on. word of warning it will take a bit of modification to get it to fit
i also painted my high beam reflectors so mine yes are worthless. by itself it would block a lot of the light yeah. i think someone else has bigger LED halos where the high beam one could be just mounted in the housing without needing a shroud or anything

Though visually because most HID bulbs are behind projectors, the angel eyes may appear brighter than your HID in certain angled views.
yeah you gotta bake headlights to get them open. the only thing you can do without baking them is change the bulbs or tint the lense
Does anyone on here know how to connect the halos to the ignition wire or a wire that has constant power so that they come on when the car is cranked and turn off when the car is off. I have mine hook up to a relay now but the relay keeps screwing up and Im having to send it back so I kind of want to skip the whole relay and plug straight up to the ignition wire. Also would I need a resistor of some sort or could I plug it straight to the wire?

No I have the halos plugged into a relay now but would like to plug the halos directly to the car, maybe the ignition wire. I was asking about info on that. Ive been having some real problems with the relays I've been using and they are just getting on my nerves so I want to get rid of the relay.

For my demon eyes and LED DRL, I bought a "add a fuse" from autozone and used the windshield motor fluid fuse . I simply took off the 15amp fuse and replaced it with the "add a fuse" in the fuse box (Make sure the add a fuse has two fuses in it cause the bottom is for the windshield fluid motor and the other for the halos or whatever you have. Then I simply connected my ground wire to the frame of my car. No relay just a fuse plus for me it's safe cause if something happens, the fuse will pop and that's it...Here's the results....

Thats awesome Jbling thats exactly what I was wanting to know and try and do. I think I might give it a try. Thanks!
i cut it to fit and used some high temp epoxy, i used a grey epoxy so against my silver painted housing it wouldnt look too noticeable. i used a pencil, put a gob on the tip, then reached the pencil around to the joint I needed epoxy at and either scraped it all off so it was behind the joint or just dabbed it where i needed it.
also i epoxied the lens to the shroud with just a small line around it from the back

So I didn't really like the angel eyes inside the shroud. The light wasn't uniform around since the shroud would cover up more of one side than the other. I didn't want to pay someone to crack open the headlights again, so with the help of Ghozt's DIY guide, I baked them myself. When moving the lights to the outside of the shroud I scratched parts of the chrome (don't ask how and it was barely noticable). I was actually glad this happened because it gave me a reason to paint the rest of the housing black.
It rained this morning so the Maxima is dirty atm but I wanted to get these pics up.

looks good man! glad to see your halos are holding up as well; my 3rd set have been going strong but im going to be replacing them with xbaLED halos soon just cause the lit up ring looks nicer and they're brighter.
