What are some of the differences from the 09 to the 12?

What are some of the differences from the 09 to the 10,11, 12?

I am not talking option packages or colors etc, anything of substance?

Heard a rumor that the timing might be a tad more aggressive on the 09's since 10 and on didnt say Premium is a must?

This true or just conjecture?

Any toher info on mechnical things?
any decontenting suspected here for the later years?

Please advise I am curious.

The only thing of substance is the 2012 have the TPMS that tells you the individual pressure in each tire, 09-11 have the tire light then you got to figure out which one it is, that is all I know off hand

Or midgrade (89 octane). But NEVER regular (87 octane).

Nissan RECOMMENDS 91 octane, and STRONGLY DISCOURAGES 87 octane. But 89 octane works very well in the 7th gen Maxima.

^ Agree. I will often times use a mix of mid and high with zero problems.
And like you said, 87 is a no-no. Unless of coarse your runnnig on fumes and find yourself at the "last chance gas station" and they're out of anything better.

It actually helped me out recently. These tires only had 2000 miles on them, and suddenly one day my rear tire was showing at 15 pounds. Couldn't tell by looking at it. A can of fix a flat took care of it (must have been a pin hole leak).

It saved me that excruciating extra minute having to walk around the car and use a gauge on all 4 tires.
