maxima exhaust!

Hey all. So ive been doing quite a bit to my 11 max. Hertz audio system. Led lights. Hids. Fogs. 18% tint. 19" oem max wheels. Spoiler. Intake etc. But ive been wanting to do a exhaust and have always liked the g35 g37 sound. Anyone had or heard a max with a setup that sounded like that??

This diagram explains somewhat why the G37's sound different than the 7th gens.
G37 on top and the Max below.

all you really had to say is that the G37 is a long block with a H pipe setup and maxima is a short block with a ypipe to bpipe setup ... no way to make both cars sound identical

if you want something KINDA similar cut off the resonator replace with a str8 2.5inch pipe make sure the exhaust shop widens up both ends and doesnt just weld it straight on or it will totally mess up the setup and while the resonator is off gut the cat in the ypipe with a bar....

Not the one in the Y-pipe. This is the Cat that Racingline omits in their aftermarket Y-pipe.

Correct. Yet a picture tells a thousand words, plus some of the newer folks here may not have actually seen these layouts before. I also figured another member (like yourself) would add some further words of wisdom on creating a similar sound.
It seems to help me after studying these diagrams and then looking at the car when exploring possible future mods.

Looks like real dual vs imitation..... The Y ...however thats more a play on power not sound I think.. they have systems that can make your max sound louder but simple mathematics is 2 people shouting is louder then one...
