Car shut off while driving - now it wont start

Hey guys, its been a longgggg time since I been on here, but im hoping I can get some help.

I have an 09 maxima, stillen intake, and some suspension work. Today I was driving home from work, doing about 55 mph with my gf, when literally 800 feet from my exit the car did something really funny. As I was driving I felt like a buck, and the car started to lose speed fast. I pressed on the pedeal, which oddly (unless it was in my head) seemed to add resistance, you felt the engine trying to rev but it just wouldnt. By the time I realized to drop it into N and try to roll it out it was too late and I stopped about 35 feet from my exit. Every time I tried to start it back up it would turn over, idle for a second, shake and shut down.

After getting pushed off the exit I took a look at the intake, and noticed the cone filter was slightly detached from the pipe. All of the tubes and hoses seemed intact, I pressed it back and tried again with no luck. I had a gas light on, with about 35 till empty, so I added gas for the hell of it and still no luck. I got the car parked by my house now, and Im gonna take another look in the AM. I'm guessing/hoping the intake is some how the culprit here.

Thanks in advance

i bet debris went into the MAF SENSOR since your cone was off

make sure you keep your cone clean by using the k&n recharge kit every 10-15,000 miles

i would say remove the MAF SENSOR blow into it put it back on and crank the car....should turn on

if you need help txt/call me @ 914 720 0833

I was thinking that, I removed the plug, but I was in my suit, hot and annoyed with no tools. IIRC I remember when I had my 5th gen reading the wd-40 is a good cleaner for them...is that correct? Thanks a lot I will shoot you a text tomorrow if u need some help as well as if that works.

no do not put WD40 it will damage the sensor you need to get MAF sensor cleaner.

looks like that ^ autozone, pepboys or any auto parts store should have it

but first try to pull it out and make sure nothing is on it....if that doesnt work u need to remove the whole intake and make sure nothing is in the runner....check throttle body also have someone put the car on the ON position (without pressing the brake) then turn it off just to make sure the TB opens n closes freely (self TB test the car does when u turn car off) like i said lmk if u need help i will actually drive out to BK if u cant get it figured out.

Fuel filter or fuel pump! Don't forget that the fuel in your tank keeps the pump cool! Never let your tank go under an 8th!
