I am test driving a used Grey 2011 S with 39K miles on the dash. It is a hertz rental2buy vechicle and I have two days to decide if I want to buy it for $17,050. The only problem I have noticed is that the driver seat rocks a little when pulling off from a complete stop. Is this normal? Also, is the price right for this car?

 

That's not normal with the driver seat. Most members had That problem n had to get it fix. Let them fix it before u buy it or else u will spend extra to fix it urself

 

I also would tend to shy away from rental cars ie people drive the hell out of them and don't use premium gas....

Manual states for maximum performance used premium fuel. Everyone treats rentals like crap. they don't realize the that better gas you put in the little bit better your MPG is.

If I'm turning a car back into the rental company I have to fill it up... MPG wont matter I fill it up w the cheapest possible gas! Did it to a brand new 2012 Max and I'm pretty sure most people who rent luxury cars arent dumb enough to use premium. MPG doesnt really matter even for a long trip most of the rentals i rent are brand new so MPG performance is probably high..

 

Comin from someone who works in the rental industry, I wouldn't buy a rental car. On the plus side usually have warranty, had all service done on time, cleaned regularly. On the minus, who doesn't beat on a rental, especially when they buy the insurance?

 

Personally I would NEVER buy a used car from a rental company (period).

 

 

U hit the nail on the head bro...Anyways, like my man said, stay away from rent to buy, I'm sure u will find a better off. Don't jump the gun just yet, I patiently waited and got a Sv cold pkg with 39k for 20,300. But that was a prev. Leased car and it was mint.

 

I would stay away from this one and get a certified pre-owned or one with remaining factory warranty or an extended warranty. Leased cars are a good source. I would also try Car-Max.

 

Agree with most here, stay away from prior rentals/fleet vehicles most of them are car ran down, cheap gas, cheap oil changes, etc...
