Something within the Same Price range and type (4 Door sedan, FWD etc...)
I liked the 09 Acura TL.. diggin the body style and she's pretty fast too
was on the HWY and a white one saw me pull ahead of the pack and he broke free and sped up to check out the max.. i slowed down to see what was good with his TL... Mutual respect

Kia optima SX.. Good features and style but no v6
G37.... Love the coupe, not fond of the sedan... Probably used to fall within my price range...love the vq engine
But then I saw the limited edition max... Vq engine with less power but more room.
Cars that I would consider after the fact.. Charger, azera, cc, 328 new, 335 used

I looked at Charger and 300C both Hemi and SRT8 models, also the TL Type S and G8 GT and GXP, at the end of the day trading my 06 Maxima for my 09 was just easier dealing with Nissan, the others just to much of a hassel

When I was shopping for a newer vehicle (was tired of my TL-S needed a change) I looked @ all the 2012's TL-SHAWD, G37S 4dr, IS350, Camry SEV6 (dunno why). In all it can down to 2 the TL and the Maxima... so guess which one i got... lol

I had a great deal a few months ago went to a acura dealership in queens where they offered me 28,000$ for my 2011 maxima sv sport and i owed the bank the same amount and they would have gave me a fully loaded 2012 acura tl sh awd with everything in it even remote start and those plastic floor mats and free service for life for 0 down and 375 a month for 36 months i test drove it and fell in love with it but i didnt like the dash and steering wheel too many buttons the dealer himself said he finds a new button everytime hes in this car but the max is a part of me now this car is fantastic to give up

I test drove the Acura TL (too noisy), Genesis (great car but unrefined suspension), Lexus ES350 (lousy suspension and steering), Infinity G37 (Low in the looks department and not as good a value as the Maxima with the $4000 rebate), Lexus GS350 (hate the front end). Camry SLE with V-6 (improved but lousy electric assist steering). BMW 328 (not worth the money). Maxima was by far the best value.

Why would you trade this...At what benefit?
The TL body is nice and the car is faster.... U didn'tike the AWD?

I was looking at the '12 Mazda6, '12 Honda Accord and a 08 Acura TL. test drove the 6, accord and the TL and came across the Max and after I test drove the max, I fell in love with it and it's handling and was sold matter of fact, it's been a month today since I had my Maxima

That was the only thing I liked about the TL especially living in CT. But car was big and heavy. The Maxima feels much more nimble and sporty over the TL which was more luxury. Also the TL AWD is very stiff and has a harder ride than the Max. Maxima seats much more comfortable.

Actually, the maxima wasn't my first choice. Coming from a hyundai sonata, I figured I would get another...this time with a turbo. I decided to test drive the maxima to see what the cvt was all about. I loved it and bought it that same day. I know it's not in the same league or price range, but I really liked the maxima. So I decided to upgrade
Another contender was the subaru legacy, and I toyed with the idea of a wrx as well.

Thought a bit about the Kia Optima SX Turbo. But I was so intent on the Max, and the 2011's where out of my price range, that I never even test drove the SX Turbo.
It has better fuel economy, and a better turn radius, but I have no regrets.
Obviously I don't even need to mention the G37x, it's just not as pretty IMO and burns a little too much gas.
I just wish the max had a friggin Handbrake!
It feels so much less sporty with a locking foot brake.
