Car shaking after spacers installed

I bought and installed some Ichiba v2 spacers. 20mm on the front and 25 mm on the back and it looks awesome. My Eibachs came in the mail yesterday and am going to have them installed on Tuesday morning. I was driving on the interstate this evening and it was shaking a little bit, not as smooth as it was before I installed them. What do you think my problem is? Just thinking about is it possible that I need an alignment and that could cause it to shake?

Talk to Ghostz I think he got the spacers too.. but I think you have to tighten it to a certain specification.... It's possible you need an lignment but ofcourse do that after you install ur coils...

I don't think it's an alignment issue..IMOP.
Sounds to me like one may not be seated quite flush. When I installed mine I wire brushed every surface (mating) that would come in contact with the spacer, in and around the wheel studs and washed it off with break cleaner. It doesn't take much to throw the balance off.
I would go back and double check. Remove, clean and replace.
You don't want to continue to drive with it like this!!!

yeah take everything out and make sure everything is centered properly.

the spacer adapters should not be causing any vibration....

UNLESS, the studs attached to the adapter are not truly centered. If that is the case then it is the adapters fault.

i followed the suggestion of a few on here about seating them to the right torque. When I installed them there was some rust on the hub from where the rims were put on from the factory. Is that what you wire brushed off? Its not shaking that bad but just enough to notice. But just enough to be annoying.

Yes exactly. You don't want ANY shaking issues with spacers. They must fit correctly.

I meant to ask.....did you purchase these "Ichiba" spacers off E-BAY?

should not be shaking at all unless you didn't install the hubcentric rings that come with them or they're not seated. id be careful and check those ASAP

I did install the rings with the spacer. So I'm guessing they are not seated properly. Thanks for heads up.

try removing the hubcentric rings and see if that helps.

If no resolution then there's a good chance your adapters are faulty.

I took them off today and scrupped them with a wire brush. There was rust on the hubs and they were not smooth. So, maybe that was the problem. I only work about a mile and a half from work and was running short on time so I didn't test them at hwy speeds. That was the only time I could feel the shaking before. Could the rust on the hubs be the problem?

OP: Can you post pics of your spacers installed? I want to see if it's flush cause I'm still on the edge of installing spacers to save or going with deep dish with the right offset in the rear.

After the spacers

The second picture is before the spacers

So I am still getting shaking. I cleaned them and reinstalled them to 80lbs torqued. It is pulling to the right so I think it is out of alignment but it wasn't before the spacers. Weird? Someone asked me if I bought them on ebay and I did. Is that bad? The company had 99.7% positive feedback. Is it possible that I got bad spacers? It only really shakes at 60-65 mph, is it possible the tires need rebalancing? I am just really not sure what do except take them off. Any suggestions?

pulling to the right sounds like alignment, but strange it wasnt there before hand. you hit a pothole in the past few days ?

I asked the E-bay question. There are certain items I will not buy from E-bay...spacers being one of them.
Did you happen to reinstall the spacers at different locations from the first time you installed them (left to right)?
Also look to see that you didn't throw a wheel weight, not at all a daily occurance but it's been known to happen.

P.S. I like the gray/black thing you got goin.

Be very careful, if the car is shaking there may be enough to kick the wheel off your car and cause an accident.
