USB support. Please help.
Hi Guys, I recently bought a 2009 maxima sv, there is no usb just aux. Is there any way i could play the songs from my Ipod or Iphone and control it from the player without manually selecting it?
The car has a bluetooth but Icant play songs on that, i guess its just for talking on the phone. Any thoughts/suggestions??

I just bought a 2010 2 days ago, and one of the main things I was looking for was the usb in the center console. The auxillary cable hanging just annoys me so I found a premium sport package that I'm glad I got.
To play music over bluetooth, the stereo must support A2DP protocol. This is the protocol for sending music over bluetooth. If you ever shop for a bluetooth headset, madge sure out supports this protocol.
As for the maxima, I had no idea that early model 7th gens lacked this protocol. Can anyone confirm this?

I have an 09 SV w/ Tech package. Mine has a special cable( sold at Nissan) that plugs into the bottom of the iPod, looks like the other end of the USB that comes with your ipod to charge it). There is also a mess holder in my center console( arm rest) that holds the iPod. I just leave it in there at all times and it also charges it. That might just be an option with the tech pkg. not sure but I think I read that on another thread before. From what I read, using Bluetooth to stream music is a pain with our maxi.
09's do not support A2DP/AVCTP , only HSP/HFP (headset/hands free) over bluetooth.
Some 09's (SV Sport/TECH) came with an ipod/iphone interface cable that worked on the original Iphones and ipods. For newer pods and phones, there was an interface adapter you had to use. Search up the iphone thread.
09's do NOT have the usb port.
