Question E-Brake Light Coming On

Hello Everyone,

Recently I had my pops take the car into inspection to get it passed because he knows a guy. But I realized after that..My E-brake is off, and the light still comes on and then disappears at times, just to come back on and so yadda yadda. Sometimes, it doesn't come on at all, which is good. My e-brake is never really on, just the light appears. Also, the Traction control lights come on when this happens..and stays on.

Can I get some advice what to do! I don't believe in Nissan Customer Service, I refuse to go to those bozos.

I think my e-brake gets caught up with my Strobe Light wire, I have moved it, but it still comes on! Any thoughts?

I really haven't looked into it as much as I could, being that I have almost no time ever..God Bless and May everyone be safe these next few days

Yep - DOT 3.

Just a couple of dribbles will likely do.

I will get on this after the storm finishes up! Do I have to do any brake bleeding or no?

Shouldn't need to bleed the brake lines if the light has just recently started kicking on. Just top it off.

yeah just top it off. now if it comes back soon without anyone touching your brake system? then you may have a leak in your brake line or master cylinder and want that checked out. over time the brake pads wear down and the piston had to push farther out just to get the pads to grip the rotor, so its normal for the light to pop on if its been awhile since you've had your pads serviced so it could also be an indication of brake pads gettin thin.

Too much fluid or you pushed the emergency brake down, just enough to set the light off!! It's easy to do when you get in the car!! Put your foot on the brake and lighly touch the emergency brake to release it!!

that explains it. when they bled your brakes you lost a little fluid in the process. topping it off obviously fixed that so you should be fine going forward
