Window Tint

I am looking to tint the windows on my new '12. Anybody have an idea around how much it costs to do all windows?

Depends on if you want ceramic or dyed tint. Ceramic supposedly blocks the sun more but costs about $300. Dyed tint is about half that.

that's why it's only $45

$100 plus in my area gets you a lifetime warranty.

I'd rather spend a little more and get a quality job, and something that would last. I cheap out on a lot of things but not my tools or my car. . Thanks everyone!

paid $130 around my way, lifetime warranty. had the same place tint my last car, was fine for 5 years until i wrecked the car. ive heard of cheap tint places, but never known any of them to offer a lifetime warranty, usually that warranty indicates the place doesnt wanna re-do their work and will do it right the first time

I agree with Ghozt..Places that offer Lifetime Warranty most of the time do it right the first time. And I am not the type of sleeze bag to not pay someone if the tint came off 5 years from now.

Tell me more about this ceramic tint. I am going to have my windows tinted soon and am curious. I have heard about a clear tint on the front windows that blocks UV rays. Gotta be good for the dash.

Ceramic is supposed to be the best option as it blocks more UV Rays and also doesn't interfere with any radio signals in those cars with an antenna in the glass.
I had Formula One Pinnacle Series installed in my car for 300 bucks lifetime warranty and its great.

Went with 30% tint but did not tint the windshield. I don't like the fact you can't run a radar/laser detector through it and if your windshield cracks, you have to replace the tint with a new windshield.

Sounds like ceramic is the way to go. I just read it radiates more heat too. SOLD!
