can it be reset??

 

The screen in the instrument cluster below the speedometer shows instant and average MPG. The average MPG can be reset from the 2 buttons left of the screen. The first button with the square symbol toggles the display. the second button with the circle symbol resets it. Upon resetting you will see a few dashed lines.
