Issue with LED Bulb for Plate

Soooo, went ahead and placed a tester order with "V-LEDs" for my license plate bulbs on Dec 19th, No confirmation email sent back regarding order so I said ok I'll check back on site, few days later.. Nothing... Sent them emails regarding order...Nothing! I understand we are in "Holiday mode" but a simple reply would of been a bit professional...
I gave them a call Dec 28th, inquired on order and "customer rep" said oh yeah it's being shipped out tomorrow... I was like tomorrow? Order was place about a week ago!? Customer rep had no answer for me, so I said Ok thanks...
Now, I received order and they sent me this bulb that doesn't even fit in the housing... Its too long! When I go back on their website to check on the actual bulb that I ordered it's no longer in stock... I'm not even going to bother sending it back and get the correct bulb, it's too much of a mission specially with their poor customer service.

What brand LEDs are y'all running?

Now does anybody know where this bulb could fit?

This is not a rant or do I want to bash VLEDs, just sharing my experience!
This type of service is what you can expect on ebay..IJS

Vleds

I bought both bulbs below for my license plate lights two weeks ago from Vled's and I got them within a week. They both fit fine in the license plate lights. I decided to use the bulbs in the first link

I also went ahead and snipped off one of the middle wires of the turning signal, so that it only turns on when I have the signal light going...then it turns back off leaving no Amber light....I'll post some pics later on tonight!

Those are the VLEDs 92LED Switchback Turn Signals. I believe Ghozt and I are both running these in our cars. They are very bright..even in the day time! They are a bit expensive I believe it was $90 or $100 by the time shipping and tax came into play.

I recommend VLEDs over most companies..I recommend joining the mailing list and waiting for the discounts they offer, that's when most of us shop. i have been using VLEDs for 5 years now.

Thanks Man. Yeah you could install resistors..I didn't though. I like the fast blinking to be honest..makes people see my signals quicker and easier..Then again resistors with these bulbs will last longer for sure.

Not that difficult man, just pop off the tab on the lining on trunk lid and you'll see the access to the bulbs... I thought it was going to be hard, but it was easy as pie

Take a trip to NY where I live..we'll work on it.

You need to connect a switch to the fogs and you have to buy the VLEDs or any other brand Switchbacks!

For people who have LED turn signals, where did you place the load resistors? I heard it gets very hot... I don't want my car melting while I'm in it.

I just purchased 2 Sylvania LEDriving bulbs for my license plate. They are 6000K and look AMAZING. Each bulb is simply 12V 1W, single LED. The two bulbs light up the back of the car. They are designed for interior and license plate bulb circuits.

I got them from Autozone at 9.99 a piece. It was well worth the 20 bucks! Really easy to install as well. The color is PERFECT.

Amazon Amazon

MaxFrost2011,

I saw those at autozone, but I couldn't find anyone online with pics of how they looked. Do you have any pics a night by any chance?

I ended up getting two LED bulbs from Vled's but am very curious about the Sylvania bulbs that you had bought. My only complaint with the Vled bulbs I bought is that they distort the back up camera a little at night

Thanks,

Sure, no problem. My camera phone doesn't capture the "true" color. I promise it looks as good or better than our HID's. You can see in the second picture that they light up the entire bottom bumper and the ground across the bumper.

It's amazing that the light output is from only 2 LEDs.

This is at dusk. Showing the difference in light color.

At night, beautiful.

Yeah CK is probably your best bet. You could try Ebay. I do recommend waiting for VLEDs..and doing it the right way. Plus their warranty is awesome!

I've seen some on eBay, but haven't come across any CK ones, and on vleds... It's taking forever! Going on a month!

Patience is a Virtue my friend. Waiting is sometimes better than buying an Ebay pair of lights and they go out and you never hear from the manufacturer again!
