clicking sound

Has anyone noticed a clicking sound while driving when we press the accelerator it makes a click noise from the gearbox and if we release the accelerator while driving it does the same.. have also noticed it if the car is in parked (P) or neutral (N) and I press the brake it makes a click kinda sound and again when I release the brake pedal.. the sound comes from the gearbox side.. any idea or help if this is normal?

I believe the click you hear in park/neutral when you brake is the locking mechanism for the shifter. You can faintly hear it unlock to allow you to move it's position from Park or Neutral to whatever gear.

I have not heard a click from the accelerator at all.
