wwsowell - Your problem is new here.

Folks here have complained for over four years about the outside thermometer on the 7th gen taking way too long to rise after being moved from an air conditioned garage or cooler area into summer heat. Takes my '09 over five miles to start climbing. Going the other way (warm to cold) does not seem to have a problem.

But I have not seen your problem posted here, and, unless you are in Point Barrow, Alaska, there is no question that something is not working right with your outside thermometer system.

it is a bad sensor. it will also cause the heat to not work correctly. car thinks it is -22 outside and even if heat is on 65 it blows more like 80. either sensor is bad or unplugged. easy fix.
