Spare tire and TPMS system...

So i got a screw in my tire on my way to work this morning , I have the spare on and I want to drop off my wheel at a place nearby my job to have it repaired and then pick it up later, so my question is, how will this affect the TPMS system? Will it throw the warning light? when i put the wheel back on after it's fixed will the system have to be reset or will it just be fine? I hate going to the stealership for anything!

Great question. I'm not 100% on the answer here, but this is what I do know.
The tpms doesn't read pressure until you're at 16mph or higher. Until that speed, it appears to be reset each time you turn the car off and back on. Again, this is just speculation based on what I already know.

When I switch to my winter tires that do not have sensors the tpms light is on all winter. When I put on my oem 19s the tpms light goes away without and reprogramming. If you tpms sensor is working ok on your repaired tire it should be the same situation. I think the only time to reprogram is if you get new sensors
