09 maxima won't start

Hey guys I have an 09 maxima that won't start. I'm getting obd ii p0603. I have had a tech come out and say the computer does not need to be programmed and the mech looked for broken wires and found none. Anybody has any suggestions.

I checked don't think it's a steering wheel lock issue. I am able to press the start button and the car will crank but will not start.
I'm wondering if there is an issue with the security system, anyone know how I can tell if it is.

I'm not an expert in this area, but I would think that if this was a security problem, the car would do nothing when you pushed the start button.

When you say the car will crank, do you mean the battery turns the engine over, but the engine does not start (fuel/ignition problem), or you just hear a rapid clicking noise (battery/electrical)?

Thanks for the reply guys, yes the engine cranks/ turns over but no ignition. I've even changed the crank sensor.

Also it's a brand new battery.

Won't be a battery problem. When the battery gets weak, pushing the 'START' button
will not turn the engine over, but simply result in a clicking noise.

Hey guys I spoke to my mech yesterday and he said to me that he has discovered that he is not getting a Pulse( not exactly sure what this means) and therefore no ignition.
He is still troubleshooting.
Could still use some insight.
Thanks

Also we are no longer getting the p0603 code.

computer does not need to be programmed/Pulse??????

Well i think you should take your car somewhere else or at least get a diag at the dealer.... the best thing you can do is know a nissan dealer mechanic they often times have their own garages.

Just an update, seems like I have to buy a new computer. I'm changing the bcm, PCM immobilizer and key fob from a salvage vehicle that runs. Does anyone know if there will be an issue/conflict with the transmission computer.

Damn, what did you do to screw up the ECM? I found this link. http://www.brakeandfrontend.com/issu...ontentid=92797

Do you have a code reader to clear code?
