New AAM Exhaust on My 2011 Maxima SV
New AAM Exhaust on My 2011 Maxima SV
I've finally pulled the trigger and purchased the AAM Exhaust. Its not 100% aligned with the bumper - but AAM is working on making it right!
In the meantime here is a couple of pictures and a quick video clip I took yesterday after the install was complete.

***UPDATE 1/29***
Some members asked for another video revving at 3k RPM.

Unfortunately even w a jig anything man made isn't perfect. The titanium tips were a must!
You will def be extremely happy w this setup. I know I'm lovin' it!
I don't have a y-pipe installed yet. Thinking about picking up one but not sure when yet.
congrats bud!
I see you couldn't wait to install it in dead of winter. I'm itching to install mine also. I have the racingline y-pipe just beware that you may have to readjust your setup if you install this. As reported people with the y pipe encountered some issues with fitment.

Bruh I couldn't wait anymore - it got delivered Monday and I was itching all week for Saturday to be here so I could get this installed lol.
Thanks man! Yea I know about the fitment issues w the racingline y-pipe hence why I was surprised about the fact that I'm having a minor fitment issue with the stock y-pipe.

Thanks brotha!!

Looks awesome, sounds awesome. My only problem with a exhaust on this car (I guess any cvt) is lack of running through the revs. Can you do a new video just holding it at 3k rpms for 10 seconds at a time so I can see what every stop light would sound like?
Thanks Bro!
HAHA - your welcome
Thanks! I'll try to do this today at some point for you...

[QUOTE=2themax11;8715631]I've finally pulled the trigger and purchased the AAM Exhaust. Its not 100% aligned with the bumper - but AAM is working on making it right!
So to start your new exhaust sounds the best I've heard outside of custom and the titanium tips look great.
What I'm not quite loving is the fitment issue.
It's a lot of $$ to spend and not have it align correctly.
If I may inquire what is AAM doing to FIX your alignment issue?
As a certified aerospace weld and tooling inspector I need to question AAM's current fabrication process and end item verification as I might purchase this product in the future.
Thanks for any follow-on info you can provide.

You are right - it is alot of $ to spend and it should fit 100% correctly. I was blown at first but like I said - AAM is doing the right thing here and will have the issue resolved in a month or so. If you are looking to purchase one - dont let this be the deal breaker - its an amazing setup.
