Xenon hid kit help!!!!!

So I recently bought an 09 MAXIMA SV fully loaded(7th generation) and love it!!!!!! I've wanted to place an HID kit on the low beam so I bought it from Ebay. Apparently, when I went to place it in, the connections were not correct. The light seemed to have a circular connection and the hid kit seemed to have more of a rectangular shape. I've continuously looked everywhere and cant seem to find the correct one. I believe my car has the xenon stock light. Please help me find the correct kit!!!!!!! Thanks

Wait, hold on, start over.
What?

I believe my car has the xenon stock light.
Why are you replacing the "xenon stock light" with an aftermarket HID kit? Is it burned out?
If it is, okay, then we let us proceed to some clarifications, as from what I see here, you seem to be misunderstanding something.

If you have a "fully loaded" 09 SV, then it comes with a stock HID system, or "Xenon".
HID and Xenon usually refer to the same things. Of course, there are imitation bulbs that have xenon gas in them instead of halogen, but still use a filament as the light source. HID on the other hand, does not have a filament, and use an electric arc as a light source.

So, as a basic test, turn on your lights. Do you see:
1. A flash, and then a gradual brightening as the bulbs turn on? This is a HID system, or "Xenon".
2. Turn on and stay on? This is a non-HID system, or filament bulb, or halogen.

If you searched continuously, you would have found the owners manual helpful as well... This is only provided if there were no modifications to the car, and you have the manual.
But, since the car is not new, I will assume that perhaps maybe there is no owners manual at the time of purchase.
After a quick 10 second Google search, with the terms "2009 Nissan Maxima Owners Manual", I see an online PDF that tells me what the bulb sizes are, specifically, on page 8-26.

Dude is telling you the right process^^^^... maybe you bought the HIDs, and your trying to mod your lights, or change them. Sounds like your trying to mix technologies. Ask Ghozt or Kmoney also, they know lighting....

long story short..if you already have Xenon, you just needed to replace the bulb with the temp you wanted D2s with a 6k or 8k... if your headlights look like your fog lights(if you have fog lights) then you need the entire kit for the appropriate bulb...

I have not bought an aftermarket hid kit. I've wanted to make my lights brighter and thought I had to buy an hid kit for the car. I didn't know the car came with an "hid kit." I tested the headlights and it seems to be that they are xenon. Thank you so much for your help!!!!!!
