I'm starting to hear this clunk sound somewhere in the front. When I reverse and then I put it gear, then a complete stops I hear some sort of clunk sound. At times, it's loud, and at times it's not as loud. Can someone help ? I read a couple of threads, and from what I read, it might sound like the motor mount, any suggestions because I'm heading to the dealership this weekend !

 

I had that same issue with my 6.5 gen. I took into the dealer and and they did something to the transmission. It was under warranty so I didnt bother asking what it was.
However, I also heard that motor mounts and suspension bushings can do that as well.

Have any warranty left on your car?

 

Yeah, I have warranty on the car. I let them look at it. I'll let them check everything. The bushing, and the motor mount, or/and the transmission. Don't want to leave anything out, without it getting it checked out.

2009-2012; CLICKING NOISE FROM FRONT AXLE DURING TAKE-OFF/ACCELERATION

APPLIED VEHICLES:

IF YOU CONFIRM:

Customers concern of a "clicking" noise coming from either left or right front axles during take-off/acceleration.

ACTION:

Apply Molykote M77 grease (P/N 44003-7S000) to the front wheel drive shaft bearing 2

 

If it happens just once after each startup at 30mph, it's your ABS.

 

If your car is making a clunk sound after every startup you should take it to the dealer!! The sound of the ABS self checking is barely noticable on my 2011 sv!!

 

Also there are 5 motor mounts on a Maxima so if one did get bad which is unlikely you probably would not feel it!!
