how do you achieve the best 0-60 time?
how do you achieve the best 0-60 time?
i have the 2013 sv 19' package i was wondering what is the best way to get the lowest 0-60 number , so far i managed to get 5.8 secs ... nothing like my 2008 g35 sedan
Easy.....
Stomp your foot on the gas pedal, stick your head out the window and say......

No but seriously, check your tires and try lowering the psi to 28-30. Ditch any unwanted to weight in your car.

Word of warning to our new person. I locked one of your threads already. Feel free to review the rules of the forum and be very careful discussing road racing. If you go to the track, feel free to discuss your times and all and show us your slips.

Wow,
I am scared to ask any questions at all with reply’s like this to a fairly basic question. 29 reply’s and not more than 2 were of any help. I suggest to keep practicing your launch in all drive modes and try to replicate the quickest.
Nowhere in ths post of his did he indicate this was on a public street, nor did he imply that the Maxima was a race car.

Really 0-60 times in a FWD car? That's like asking how do I get first place in the special Olympics! These cars are LUXERY cars. It may say 4DSC on the window but for 0-60 times you need something else like RWD for starters. We have an 09' SV and would never even think about seeing what the 0-60 times are. I use my other car for that. If you want a fast straight line car but one (the maxima isn't it)

In 65 years of driving, I have never gone WOT 0-60 in a car (I grew up poor, and could not afford repair costs, so tend to baby my possessions). Also,I know of no place around where I live that I could safely do this sort of thing.
But, in case the OP has a track nearby, those frisky folks who took their cars to the track soon after the 7th gens came out found that the quickest accelleration was ALWAYS is simple DRIVE mode. That makes perfect sense, as any shift or 'pretend shift' (as we have in this Maxima) gives a split instant where the accelleration pauses to pretend to shift.
I personally would think it should be more fun to play with the paddles and go the sporting route, even though it is not quite as fast as simple drive. After all, this is a 3600 pound FWD family sedan, not a pocket rocket.

I think the 'fun' may have gottern a little out of hand. Don't be afraid to ask questions.

Playing with tire pressure is another thing to consider as well as how much fuel you're packing (If you're a the quarter-mile track, 1/4 a tank of gas is fine).
Lots of fun stuff to consider.
Shipwreck..where was the reference from!!!!??!!
Well atleast the OP brought the best out of the forum and came together to have some fun...So be positive..the thread wasn't completely useless.

theres two reasons this thread turned into a big joke.
a) the OP didnt say this is at the track; forum rules aren't anything new you can't talk about street racing PERIOD
b) this has been asked a million times before, the search function is your friend

What is it with all the negative attitudes with new members? Its like people that join here have never been apart of another community before. You get guys that demand the world in there first few post/threads. Or guys that flip their lids when we dont ask a question that has be answered more times than Lindsey Lohan has gotten away with stuff.
