Which DRLs are they? I believe there are similar directions for different cars. It all comes down to mounting where you want them..and then wiring them to either a Power Spot or directly to the battery.

the DRL's with housings that you get from V-LEDs absolutely crush the eBay ones in terms of light output. ask me how I know

I started with V-LEDs LED strips, the black ones that are flexible with 3M adhesive on the back. Then went to ebay Switchbacks with housings. Then finally did V-LEDs. Here's a pic, V-LEDs switchback on the left, eBay switch on the right. Yes they're both on.

To accomplish this I had to trim the V-LEDs DRL and re-seal the ends with silicone, and then cut a hole in the brake duct for it to fit. Not for the faint of heart, but I've actually gotten a lot of compliments on them including stuff like "those are the only aftermarket LED strips I've seen that look nice, everything else looks cheesy"

I think I went through 3 Led's for the brake ducts and nothing was bright. I saw Ghozt's and asked (I think last year) where he got them from which are from Vleds.com Bought them and I gave them a shot. When I plugged and tested them, damn they were bright!!! If Ghozt didn't suggest the vleds to me, I would of ended up with another crappy set so thanks Ghozt for your recommendation. I trimmed mine like Ghozt did and if you have the guts to trim your brake ducts, go ahead. I previously trimmed the brake ducts with the old sets of leds so I was already used to cutting.

1st from vleds.

the product I'm using now are these - http://www.vleds.com/universal/drl-f...ts-1-pair.html

they also make them in a non-switchback version (only white). switchback means they blink amber with my turn signals (you splice into turn signal wire to achieve this)

theres no DIY, just hold them up to your brake duct and see how much you need to trim off. i used a chop-saw with a metal cutting blade so it took maybe 30 seconds to trim mine and then re-sealed the ends with clear silicone (didn't use much, just a light coating). then i put painters tape on the brake grill duct, traced the DRL so I had a rough idea of how large it was and where i needed to cut, and used a dremel very carefully to cut a rectangular hole for it. to get it to fit flush i used a metal file to just shave down the edges until it fit nice and to attach it i used 3m body molding tape (the black stuff) to adhere it to the plastic "fin" above it. holds extremely well

Do you happen to remember what the actual kit/wiring look like? Did it come with a control module, or was it just the red/black wire? Just want to make sure it's something i can install myself before i pull the trigger.

Thanks MIA_SHIFT. Yup well sorta custom I guess you can say that. I made a DIY thread on this. I know a couple people doing this to 2012 grills and it looks sweet with no emblem since it doesn't have that drop in the center like 09-11 has. Another member named staggered (silver max w/ CV1 Vossen wheels) did this to his grill as well. He has no emblem on the center.

I think that DRL are mandatory in Canada and Europe. If so it will be interesting to see what they look like and if a kit can be ordered from Nissan

Hey guys, so my VLED DRLs were just delivered, and I have question. How did you guys wire these? The instructions are not clear at all. I'm pretty sure that the red and black wires go directly to the battery, the white goes to the headlamp, and the orange goes to the turn signals. I was very anxious to see how bright these were, so I popped the hood and was playing around with the control module / wiring. I disconnected the black battery terminal, connected black to black, red to red, and reconnected the battery. The lights immediately turned on while the car was off. Turned on the car, and then they turned off. Any idea why? Also is connecting directly to the battery best practice? I've heard tapping into the accessories line, but I'm not familiar with this or where it's located on our cars. Thought?

Mines were wired into the park lights and the amber is wired into the turn signal.

what up with VLED

I have tried to find the VLED DRL that are both amber and white as listed above and the site seems to be extremely limited.. I call and no one answers either. I cannot email because I have a yahoo account... company seems a little sketchy.. or am I just overly concerned? Anyhow. All I want to do is order the DRLS, does anyone know somewhere else to get the same quality?

Looks to me like they are on back order, if we're talking about the same switchbacks.

Damn I wanted to do this upgrade. Seems like a fun and fairly cheap mod. Link the Ghozt supplied does not work.

Has anybody here heard of law enforcement having issues with the VLEDS Triton switchbacks due their overly bright output?
I thought I saw this mentioned on another forum site but I don't remember which one I read it on.

Actually, it is no where on the site.
Either they have discontinued it, currently out of stock, or currently designing another version.
