Thanks! I was thinking about it but I don't think I'm going to get an intake.

Very sic looking and sounds chronic my friend.
One question.
AAM states the tips are adjustable.
Can you verify if they will adjust back under the rear Bumper cover to approximate the stock tip location?
I'm 90% sold on buying as long as they're not hanging out "sled style" if you know what I mean, thanks.

Is it only me???

This is addressed to everyone that has the AAM EXHAUST installed! I'm installing mines this weekend, but am I the only person here that purchased this exhaust for the performance enhancements??? Sounds good this sounds good that blah blah blah. CAN YOU NOTICE A BLATANT INCREASE IN HORSE POWER AND TORQUE??? Getting a nice sound is great n all but not rocket science! Does your MAX scoot harder with this expensive *** exhaust??? It's like looking ripped but not able to hit the reps! That's why the Damn thing is so expensive because of the supposes performance jump, sound and looks come last... I need validation I'm nervous as Hell lol!!!

Shouldn't you have asked this question prior to purchase?

Do a dyno before and after! Report the results

You completely missed my point SMH... If you have a MAX and purchased from AAM, it clearly speaks on horsepower & torque increase. BUT NOBODY HERE IS TALKING ABOUT THAT! Hate I had to point my point out like that

I need somebody rather than The Wizard, who has installed this product to vouch for the performance increase please, PRETTY PLEASE!

With tax season approaching there may be a few of us on here thinking about pulling the trigger on an AAM exhaust in the next few months. I know a few years ago they offered a group buy discount which saved folks a couple hundred bucks. It would be nice to see if that's still available. Perhaps if we can get 5-10 people who want in we might be able to workout some sort of deal.

If you're expecting a night and day difference from an exhaust, and your Max to "scoot harder", you're gonna be sadly disappointed.

The average horsepower gain is 4-5hp. You're not going to feel that. This is why most people talk about the sound more than the power. You only make more than 4-5hp between 5000rpms and 6000rpms. How often are you in that rpm range?

Everyone's butt dyno is calibrated differently. Some will say they feel a big difference (placebo effect), some a slight difference, and some no difference. Typically one can really tell a difference when the mod yields 20-25hp or more. The dyno numbers shown seem accurate on and on point with what catbacks do for the Maxima, so I'd tend to believe the numbers.

That's better

He didn't take the high road he just answered the way he should have, for a informative forum!

For that I can award a thanks!

Wizard did you get that dunno graph from AAM site?

I have mods to my MAX, and a Dyno scheduled for next month. My cold air intake has have the front end open. With this 3" piping its gonna open the back end to balance the pressure. I should get a nice jump especially with the highest octane gas as they advertise. I'll let you know what I feel as I play with it up I-95.

Ah, you ALSO have a CAI. Why didn't you say that from the get go? You're definitely going to instantly notice the increased performance in that case. The HP and torque gains are gonna be off the charts, dude.

I was thinking so myself. The K&N was a pretty good purchase. I noticed improved performance with just that& love the sound!

Ummmm, not likely.
You need to lay off the caffeinated beverages.
Any Short ram intake is going to increase noise, but maybe if lucky add 1 hp.
Any CAI is going to increase noise, but maybe add 2 hp.

If you bought this exhaust and haven't done a y-pipe already, you are doing it backward. The factory y-pipe constricts to 1" tall. You can put a 4" cat back exhaust on it and not see any gains.
That is why the y-pipe is said to add 10-15 hp, and is actually noticeable on the butt dyno.

A 3" intake in no way has any relation on exhaust size.
