What do you guys think about putting matte black vinyl on an all black maxima??

I can see what you're going for, but IMO, I don't think the look you're going after will really be there on an all black car. Any other color, where there would be a definite color contrast, would work. Most people that aren't really into cars, and even some that are, wouldn't notice the subtle difference between the roof and the rest of the car. Now if subtle difference is what you want, then go for it. If no one else likes it, but you do... Forget them all. It's your ride and ultimately your opinion is the only one that matters.

 

Vinyl roofs went the way of the dinosaurs. They add cost, require more maintenance, fade with time and reduce the resale value. But this is a free country. Good luck with that.

 

There are a bunch of guys here who have gloss black on the roof; I think it looks great. Best part about vinyl is you can rip it off later. I agree since your car is already black it won't be as noticeable and maybe not worth the effort.

I think it wouldn't be too noticeable on an all black car but then again it could look awsome!

 

Hmmmm How about matte hood, roof & trunk lid.... Neighbor has a black Challenger with matte black racing stripes and it looks pretty dope to me....obviously we can't compare Maxs with the challys but it looks good on his ride....
