I saw in another post that the piece was metal? Mines a 2012 so I was just curious if it was different?

intake will be here in the next hour so I'm just starting early :-)

One thing that sucks is ...while I was installing the new intake I lost one of the bolts into the engine What should I do? Will it be able to hold with just 3 bolts in the filter?

Also the air box doesn't feel secure. I guess mines a new model because they didn't give me a SILVER BRACKET at the top of the filter so it just kinda hangs there?

Ive installed CAI/SAI on my 97, 99, 02 Maxima and none of them were like this install. Does anyone feel this way too?

Do you have a 2012? Im pretty sure they changed the model of the intake this year because it doesnt have Mounting bracket. I might do the Ghozt True CAI just tho

How do you like the intake? Notice any difference? How hard was this to install? Thinking about getting one.

It's very simple to install.

That doesn't answer the question of do you notice better performance?

You won't notice anything except for a louder engine.
The stock airbox actually performes better than any CAI.

Lots of dynos and threads on it.
You may notice an increase if your FI, but if your just NA, only do it if you want to hear your engine scream.

I like mine, but it's even noisy at idle.

I shouldn't have quoted the entire statement.

Nevertheless, I installed the intake, UDP and catback exhaust together so I can't say how much or how little the intake contributed to power. The car feels stronger in the mid to upper revs. Moreover, I was unable to log fuel trims etc to confrim if the intake leans out the car or richens it up. The intake looks great but is too loud for me at WOT. For this reasaon, I removed it and now have it for sale.

Not trying to derail this thread.

OP: if you remove one of the 3 bolts(carefully) you should be able to source the same size, length and thread pitch from a local hardware store.
