CREE LED vs SMD

Does anyone know what the difference is between the CREE LEDs and the SMD?

There are a couple of different lights I'm looking at on Amazon:

H11 CREE LED BULBS 10W WATTS - SUPER BRIGHT H11 CREE LED BULBS 10W WATTS - SUPER BRIGHT

these:

Jtech H11 Type 16W High Power SMD LED Jtech H11 Type 16W High Power SMD LED

And these:

H11 3W CREE H11 3W CREE

Crees are a lot brighter but they get pretty hot. I wouldn't run them for extended periods of time.

Cool - that's just what I wanted to know because I want to run my fogs as DRLs.

Don't do the Crees then. I'd only use them as reverse lights or high beams on a 7th gen.

I definitely want to get CREE bulbs but only for the reverse lights as Chris suggested .

So they will be fine for high beams? How are they compared to the stock high beam bulbs?
