Center Console Power Questions
Hello all, I have tried looking for an answer on this and many other forums. My question is I want to charge my iPod 5th Gen in my center console, Ive tried the Scosche power adapter(It didn't work for me), I recently bought the CableJive Adapter(It uses a Micro USB cable to charge iPod), which is working just as it should, but I'm wondering if I keep my iPod plugged into the power outlet in the center console, will it drain my battery?
If it will drain my battery is there any way of changing the center console power outlet to turn off when the ignition goes off just like the one near the shifter.
I appreciate any feedback.

As long as it's just a power adapter and not an inverter you should be alright since your iPod will know when to stop charging. I keep my Media player plugged into it and on at all times, been away for a week before and never had any issues with starting or battery drain.

FWIW, I keep a Blackberry phone hooked up to the outlet located inside the armrest part of the console, all of the time. Never had any issues.
I wouldn't leave it there for a month, but a few days of not being started didn't affect anything.
