i have a 2009 maxima sv premium w/o nav, but has the apple interface cable in console. i presently have a cable that has a 3.5mm male plug that goes on top of the iphone and at the other end it has red&white rca's that presently this works for sound(pandora radio) but i would like to be able to see VIDEO on the maximas display screen. what do i need to do this? the factory cable doesnt charge or work for pandora. im thinking maybe a cord that goes in bottom of iphone 4s that has audio and a video rca's??????? and will i be able to see pandora display of video on maximas screen? or photos?? what do you guys suggest that will show audio and video?????

 

There is a cable but video will be disabled unless the parking brake is enabled.

does that cable need to have the usb end too? as walmart has one without has a 30 pin and 3 rca's

 

I think the usb is for charging only, my kids have the Apple cord and watch netflix on their tv with it. If I had my Maxima (still waiting delivery) I would have test it for you and tell you how it works. You could use the usb end to plug into lighter socket to keep the phone charged.

If the parking brake turns on the monitor then maybe you can find out which wires they are and put a simple on/off switch there instead.

 

anybody have the post/link for disabeling the parking brake feature, so it allows video while driving?
