Split in seat side

Anyone have a split / crack in th side of the seat bottom? I got one that starts where the Vinyl side meets the leather top. It is on the rounded seam, goes under a stich, and runs down about 1.5 inches.

I'm at the dealer and they are trying to claim its a cut and not under warranty.

The crack is jagged edged, only in the top of the vinyl (not the fabric backing), and is exactly where the seat flexes where when I sit on in. There's no way this is a cut - its a fatigue crack.

I would think that if it was a cut, the stitching would have been cut. I would take it to another dealer too.

I agree with boslax and 1996black, surely looks like a stress crack.....Another dealer, on a '12 man fix it!

Update. Waited for the manager. They said they think it's a cut but will replace it anyway. Glad they are doing it, but rather poor customer service.

I've dealt with bad customer service from a couple local dealers here in town too. It would be nice if that was the exception.

Wow! Any dealer that would even suggest that is a CUT would have me doubting their ability to analyze anything correctly. To make a cut that jagged, and cut the material under the stitch without disturbing the stitch itself, would require very delicate and unlikely knife-weilding.
